I got 2 sets of these lights for an automated plant cabinet I was building for my wife. I was checking for polarity and wiring details with a multimeter when I noticed the included power supply was pushing nearly 60 volts. These lights aren’t rated for anywhere near that (according to the listing) and I saw other reviews mentioning the power supply would get very hot or LEDs burning out early. So I ordered a decent quality laptop style charger capable of 50 watts in the correct voltage range. These are 20 watt lights, but I wanted 1 power supply to run 2 sets (4 panels), so 40 watt would be the minimum. Once that arrived, I lobbed off the connector and soldered on 2 connectors from the included power supplies. From there it all plugs in as usual, just a ghostbusters trap along the cord instead of 2 wall warts. Ooh, and a ground prong into the wall since I’m using it in a humid environment. The set also comes with double-sided prongs to link 2 panels together. Since I needed them separated, I used speaker wire to extend them. Worked great, but required a single twist to align correct polarity. Overall these seem to be great led arrays with an iffy power supply. I mean it could be the listing and product don’t exactly match and they’re fine at 60V, but they work just as well at nearly half that voltage and I’m happy with my upgrade, even if it took a little more money and effort to correct. I was curious and opened one of the included power supplies and didn’t see anything wrong. Like they seem to be well made and of decent quality, just with an output that doesn’t match the listing nor the stampings on the housing. Real puzzle to me, but it did work, so can’t fault it too hard. If you don’t mind splicing wires, these are great. If you plan to use it as is, don’t leave them on unless you’re nearby. ... show more

This thing is BRIGHT. Don’t be fooled by how lightweight and thin it is when you take it out of the box. It does come with several extra parts to accommodate various installation methods. I do wish the manual explained that better but I figured it out after a bit. The manual is helpful in that it gives you the basics of what to do. I needed to install mine above some wall mounted shelves. I first tried the hanging option, but it didn’t look too good. Then I tried the sticky command strip type stickers that came in the package, but they didn’t stick to my ceiling at all. I tried actual command strips, and those lasted about a day before falling. In the end, I used a few screws to just attach it to the wall and that did the trick. It’s holding up well, doesn’t get too warm, and lights up my entire room in a warm pink light. Definitely not aesthetically pleasing, but my plants are happy and I leave this on when I’m at school/work so I don’t notice it. Great value! Super happy with this purchase. ... show more

This light is strong! It could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you are looking for. The one thing I didn't like hice the stars is that it cant be used as 2 panels. It can only be one. A very large rectangle or as a square not separately which is what I wanted.

I got this because i have trouble keeping certain plants alive during the winter months. They really need any daylight that comes in. It's really easy to assemble and i like the colors once it's set up. It's bright so i don't need all the regular lamps on. It doesn't get hot which is what i am glad for, wasn't sure how that would turn out. So now i hope my plants will perk up, that's the ultimate test. :) ... show more

    • Great product but now one of them is dimming?

So I’ve been loving these grow lights, since they have the dimming feature and the timer. However, after about a month of use, one of the grow lights (bought the 2 pack) has now started to random dim? Without me touching it, it starts kinda flashing and dims to a point that you can barely see any light. I have to disconnect it and plug it back in and it work for a bit but starts dimming again. Don’t know why this is happening but just keep this in mind when purchasing EDIT: Was contacted by the seller and I realized that the item does have a 1 year warranty. After explaining the situation to them they sent me a replacement which is working properly. Great customer service! ... show more

I love the light these put off. I love how easy they were to install. The only thing I wish I could do was utilize both panels without having to hook them together. All in all though, I love those lights and would buy again!

They look like they would do a very good job for grow lights. They are very bright and ultra slim which is good when your going to use just the stickies to hold it up. But I purchased these as I thought I could use them on separate shelves. That is not the case. There’s no way to use them on separate shelves as the only add ins that are with them are prongs and supports for the plates to be together. I will be returning them as they can not be used as I intended. ... show more
