The fact Doki Doki was able to be ported to console is an absolute miracle. It does lose some if its exploratory and horror charms, but that is understandable due to the nature of it all. The bonuses do make up for all of that though! The story was a great subversion of the genre, and while some may call it parody I do think there is a love letter to all VN here. The artwork, which I believe was updated from the initial release is very pretty. As for the packaging itself, I did notice the clear plastic holding the cover artwork was slightly warped on the back. It actually did make some bends in the slip art. But everything inside the case was perfectly fine! I believe this was mostly due to the weather though and not an issue with production. ... show more

Love this game! It's such a mind trip. If you like psychological horror, you'll love this game. Keep on mind, it's a text based, visual novel type game, not one you "play." You, mostly, just need to read and make decisions on how to respond. It's very, very fun.

WARNING : This video game is absolutely NOT for young players. The "M for Mature" rating is serious. If you're unfamiliar with the game, it's a visual novel game where you play as a high school male protagonist that joins their childhood friend's ( Sayori ) literature club after lots of begging and nagging. There you meet three other girls. Yuri, meticulous and reserved. Natsumi, cutesy and tsundere. Lastly, Monika, the natural leader and president of the literature club. You spend your days after school writing poems and sharing them with the girls, making new friends and possibly get closer to one of them.... but you can't shake the feeling something is wrong. DDLC is a treat of a game for psychological horror fans. A thrilling and creepy experience that will stick with you in its unique styling and memorable moments of "WTF?!". I bought this physical copy being a fan of the original game and to see the new DLC content. The original game could be completed in roughly 3 - 4 hours, but now there are 6 six additional stories to explore. The physical copy also comes with standees, stickers, and a code to redeem a download of the OST from the game. ... show more

This is literally my favorite game. I recommend you play on PC but the console versions are good too. Free on pc and the 'Plus!' version is just a minor bonus if you enjoy the game and want to support the teams
