My dog loves balls. He loves them so much they are destroyed in minutes. We’ve tried soccer and basketball balls but he inadvertently pops them. This ball cannot be popped. It’s light enough that it rolls very easily even if the ground has some bumps and divots. For our playful pup, this ball needs to stay outside. My only caution is that you monitor your dog during play. Ours will play with it so long and so hard that it can chafe his nose/muzzle. I won't ding the star rating on this since it's well made and exactly what it says it is. I would advise anyone wanting to purchase it that it's for a very specific use. My herding dog wasn't interested in rolling it so much as trying to jump on it and bite it. It's very hard plastic and it is heavy, so only suitable for dogs that will play with it as a herding ball. I bought this after buying the jolly egg and my Australian Cattle Dog got the hang of this after a couple minutes. First, watching her use it is hilarious. She kind of chest bumps it aggressively across the yard and for entertainment value alone it’s worth it lol. Second, it’s super durable and tough- I would be careful to not let it get airborne if you’re kicking it with your dog and have a lunatic like I do because we are seriously worried that she could hurt her teeth every time she goes for it. After one time of playing fetch and bringing it back he was able to pierce the ball. After throwing it four times it looked like this. If I wouldn't have taken it away until our next time we play fetch he would have it totally destroyed! I would recommend paying more money and getting the biggest ball. Definitely disappointed but there really isn't anything he hasn't destroyed. Was hoping it would have lasted at least a month not literally 15 minutes. ... show more

I got this ball for my dog because she has eaten every soccer, basket ball, football....well, you get the idea. I tossed this out to her and she ran from it. Generally she will attack it and toss it up with her front feet, roll it around and have a blast. Nope, not even a tail wag. The ball itself appears to be very well made and durable. I really don't think my dog will be able to even dent it. I am hoping that she will warm up to it and have some fun. If not, I will donate it to a shelter and get stock in Wilson. ... show more

I bought this for my 10 month old golden retriever puppy. He’ll run and push this ball around for an hour and tire himself out. It was a great purchase! I think it’s only good for outdoors because it’s hard and it would slam into walls and make a lot of noise. He loves this ball. I have two Aussie doodles and they love to chase my grandkid’s balls, but they don’t like this one because it is too hard. Anyway, that is my guess why they don’t play with it like they do with a softer ball. However, the ball itself is exactly how it was described.

My grand puppy is a Blue Heeler. She has this big size. She LOVES it! Runs on top of it, pushes it up on to her nose, chases it all over the yard. Seems to be indestructible. I bought for my 130lb Great Dane... she doesn't understand the concept of pushing it. She wants to pick it up to run & can't. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars ... but now the Blue Heeler will have another one :) ... show more
