Got the large for my 6month 35lb Australian shepherd mix. It’s fits him perfectly. According to the size chart he was right on the small end of the large, it was right, he has plenty of room to grow in it. I have a 100 lb dog and this worked well with him in the pool. The straps tore but we used it everyday. I would say wear and tear caused the straps to break off. The handle tore first then the straps.
