The media could not be loaded. I bought a 10' x 10' chain link with 1.5" post and rail dog kennel about 6+ years ago; I do not remember what brand. I had been using it for the cats when the kennel got crushed on one side by a tree limb during an ice storm. I took a chance on this "fits Lucky Dog only" roof frame and cover to convert the kennel to a cat kennel / catio. The frame arms are supposed to fit into the upright posts like a sleeve. It doesn't fit this brand kennel like it is supposed to because the frame is a little less than 10 x 10. I bought chain link post braces/brackets for under $10 and used them in 2 corners on one side of the wall. The fix worked well; seems sturdy. I also put 1.5" x 1.5" vinyl coated welded wire panel in the "A" to ensure no kitties get out and nothing gets in. The directions say "30 minutes with 2 people." I am 60 yr old woman and my husband's back does not allow him to help with these projects. To assemble, move the ladder around, go to the hardware store, etc. it took me a couple of hours and I didn't mind at all. I really like the stability the roof added to the kennel. It's ready for some catwalks!

It's a good cover for our dogs kennel, however I feel like the vinyl cover should have been made a little better and thicker/stronger. We will just have to see how long it lasts because i feel like its not going to last very long. We have only had it a week. Will do another update after we have had it for a while. It is a good cover though. It keeps her out of the sun and the rain out.

Cover looks well made and is easy to assemble and install. Since I cannot speak to its durability, since I just installed it, I did want to write a review to state it will indeed fit the Blue Hawk 10 x 10 kennel I purchased locally. I already purchased and assembled the Blue Hawk 10 x 10 kennel, but could not find a decent cover made specifically for this kennel. This looked like a good cover, with good reviews, but mixed feedback on whether it would fit. I have plenty of tools, and lots of experience "making things work", so I gave it a chance. The Weatherguard cover frame supports fit perfectly in the Blue Hawk posts, once I removed the plastic plugs. However, my assembled kennel was a bit too wide. I partially disassembled the kennel and removed 5 inches of pipe from the top and bottom. Now, with my kennel 5 inches narrower, the Weatherguard cover frame fit perfectly. From there, the rest of the assembly was quick and the finished project looks great. Hope this helps anyone else looking for a good cover for their Blue Hawk kennel, as long as you are willing to do a little work to make it fit. Ideally, order the cover and have it on hand when you assemble the kennel. If you need to make any adjustments to the pipe lengths, you won't have to fight an already assembled fence to do so. UPDATE 9/21/2018: The cover has been on a full 2 years now. I recently had to remove it temporarily due to the threat of an approaching tropical storm. The cover has held up very well. There are no holes, tears, or other signs of wear. It is still flexible and strong, and now reinstalled back atop my dog's kennel.

Okay the only reason that I gave this three stars instead of 5 is because when I received this one because this is my second purchase my first one was through Home Depot. Everything looked as it did the first time I purchased it I had to make modifications the first time so I knew that modification be made to mount it to my kennel cage because I did not have the type of kennel cage that had open post to slip the frame down into as it's designed so what I did is I used PCV tubes Mount of those on top of my cage which you should be able to see it a picture if it will post and it mounted perfectly the three stars is because for some reason this canopy has for grommet holes about a foot up from the sides where water can leak through I don't know if it was defective or if it's for a multi design but I had to use sticky Gorilla Tape to plug those holes or cover those holes so that my dog's cage does not get wet because I also cover the sides as well but a side of that it's a very durable very strong frame the only reason I bought another one was because when we had our winter storm here in Ohio if we got close to 10 inches of snow the weight bear down on it and the frame could not take the weight

Love this. We purchased the kennel one year ago and tried to "wing it" with tarps as a roof. We were trying to save money. We spent almost as much on tarps and bungees that just sagged, filled with rain and ultimately shredded. This roof strengthened the overall structure of our kennel. It was super easy to assemble even though we picked a blistering afternoon to do installation. The cover part took a bit of pulling in the last corner...really nothing much. Precipitation just rolls off. GREAT! Gave 4 stars because we have no clue about longevity regarding the cover. It looks and feels very sturdy. We live in a windy, open farmland area and so far no problem with wind or storms.

Love it works great and was really easy to install by myself. A storm came through and knocked the whole kennel over and the tarp got two holes in it already I guess from the friction of the storm or hitting something when it fell over but it was easy to fix with a gorilla tape patch 😁 I feel like is was more of a circumstance issue than material quality issue. I definitely recommend the kennel cover and frame.

I purchased this cover so that our two dogs can have shade during the days while we are at work. We live in Texas, and shade is essential in the summer. I have a standard 10x10 chain link kennel, and seeing that this cover was advertised as being suitable for any 10x10, I felt comfortable purchasing it. This kennel is NOT suited for just any 10x10. The trouble started when I opened the box and realized that the only instructions consisted of 2 diagrams...no written instructions whatsoever. I began by trying trying to assemble the frame. The cross beams need to interlock via a screw in the middle, however the holes were drilled on the wrong side of the beams! After having both my husband and father look (to make sure I wasn't crazy) we agreed it was a made incorrectly. However, my dogs need shade, so instead of trying to send it back, we simply used self-tapping screws, made new holes, and assembled the cross beams properly. Next I needed to get the frame up on top of the kennel. I went to look for the appropriate brackets, and there were none! After looking closely at the "instructions", the diagram shows the cover just sitting on the notches of the kennel frame. My chain link kennel has a smooth frame all the way around..there are no "notches" for it to sit down on. Obviously it was made for a different kind of kennel, but that is not made known online, on the box, or in the instructions. My only option now is to drill more holes, go buy separate brackets, and do our best to make it work. For something that was made to look so simple and effective, it has become a major pain.

Love this. Our kennel wasn’t made for it but it fit we had to do a few adjustments but it fits good and works great. Super product. When it rains it stays dry inside for the most part except when the wind blows it sideways. I would recommend this. Keeps sun and most rain off our animals inside.

Went up in minutes and fit a kennel that I bought from a different manufacturer. I assembled it myself with nothing more than a step ladder and cordless drill. Only have had it up for a couple of months but it has had at least 300 pounds of snow on it so far and is holding up well. Snow slides off easily by walking in and pushing the roof up in a couple spots. I have it in the 10x10 configuration.

We bought this to fit a 10x10 kennel. It did not fit. It would fit if it was a 9.5x9.5’ kennel. We ended up bending the three roof poles to more obtuse angles to make it fit. The cover doesn’t fit exactly right now but it works well enough to keep the chickens dry. It was easy to assemble and install once it was the right size.

It was easy to put together just like it said. Prior to assembling the kennel roof I went on YouTube and watched a video because most of the time the paper instructions don't make a lot of sense to me. Anyway I got it done although it would have been nice to have another set of hands I was able to do it by myself. The height and having to stand on something to reach the top was challenging for me but that was not the fault of the roof. I am very glad I followed through and purchase it because now I won't have to worry about the different kinds of weather anymore.
