This works great for our dog. The room where is crate is is very airy and he’s get cold but he wouldn’t keep blankets on him so he’d be rolled up in a ball. This cover does what it is designed to do: cover a dog cage. It's nice that it has a zipper to expose either side door, it's the only one that I could find to do that. All the others only exposed the skinny side door, but my dog only uses the long side door on his cage. I had a nasty blue tarp covering the cage up until this point, so as far as appearance goes, this thing is great!! My dog just needs some wind protection in the winter. This will stay on our porch, so I assume it will hold up well as it will not be exposed to the weather. It clips to the cage so it can't blow off in wind, or get taken off some other way. Some people left bad reviews because their dog chewed it up, but that's not the fault of the company! My dog hasn't bothered it, but he's out of the puppy/chewing phase. I bought this for my dogs' crate, to use in place of a thick blanket. Living in a basement apartment, it gets cold in the winter and its surrounding months so my two dachshunds get cold and like to sleep with their crate covered. Unfortunately the thick blanket would get really dirty and smelly so this crate cover became necessary. I have to say I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend to all owners with crates. Regarding the smell, it does smell when it's new but in my case, I felt it was more like new plastic smell, not some horrible foul stench as others felt. P.S. My dog Carl expressed his desire for privacy and the ability to set his own sleep schedule, so being the thoughtful and caring parent that I am, I obliged and bought him what I call his privacy curtain. Carl is in his crate in the attached photo but he’s black with a few white spots so you can’t see him. If you could, you’d know he was smiling and praising this purchase just as much as me. If you’re entertaining on weekends and your dogs crate is in the middle of the action, this is the perfect solution. There’s a front flap that folds down which makes it into something of a CIA black site, minus the advanced interrogation methods and negative stigma. I love this product. Fits my kennel perfectly and looks really good. When I found this product, I contacted the seller because I didn’t see my kennel size available. They were very quick and courteous with their responses and took the time to notify me when they restocked the size I needed. The roll-up flaps are really handy, too. These were perfect for my girls' kennels. Here I am trying to take pictures of just the covers and they want to go sit in their kennels. These give them more privacy and security and they will just go lay in their kennels randomly throughout the day. The material is very good quality and thick. They were super easy to put on as well. I leave the flaps on the front rolled up and tucked under the top so they can always see out, but you can let that part down and zipper it if need be. For all the bad reviews on here where they dog has destroyed these, that is not a fault of the manufacturer. These work perfectly fine and as intended with well trained dogs or dogs that don't have terrible separation anxiety. My GSD on the right use to tear up anything that touched her kennel and she used to not get a bed either because of that. But I wouldn't leave a poor review of something she pulled into her kennel (create covers) unless the manufacturer made claims that it was tested and completely indestructible. If your fur baby doesn't chew things into oblivion then these covers will work great and your pup will appreciate them too. Make sure you measure your kennel and size it properly. Ignore all the dog hair on her rug! Corgis shed like crazy! :) I mixed up the measurements on my crate so the size I purchased was too large... but still works great! We are planning to upgrade our dog's crate so it will be a perfect fit in the future. Calypso dog seems to enjoy her crate more than before. We call it her "apartment". My house is small and my doggos are big (one is getting bigger; a 5th grumpy old lady Pug isn’t pictured), so space is a bit cramped. Between hating the look of rando blankets tossed over the metal crates and the fact I could never really fully cover them (which chills the pups out at night), I needed a solution that also looked good since they’re smack dab in the middle of the kitchen. I bought 3 of these in grey (24”, 36”, 42”) and it made SUCH an instant difference in the (hard to achieve, harder still to maintain) neatness of my space. The material and zippers feels sturdy, and while I haven’t have a need to clean them yet (just got them, and I’ll update after a while), I anticipate they’ll wipe clean without much trouble.
