My doggo has been attached to this thing! He loves chewing on it and has saved my kids stuffies from his constant need to chew on something! We have pitty mixes and they can be very destructive if they don't have things like these to chomp on. It's a great size for him and out of all the toys I just got, this one has been his favorite :-) it doesn't smell like much of anything and it feels thick and sturdy. I was looking for something inexpensive and with great reviews, that can withstand the jaws of a powerful Great Dane. I thought this was odd looking when it first arrived lol. But Wow ! This is a hit both my Danes wanted it right away. I got it for my 4yr Dane he doesn’t really like a lot of toys. He’s got separation anxiety with me. He’s a “reactive dog”. This is helpful!! he carries it with him room to room. It’s very durable too. I will forever be keeping these around. A must have for aggressive tours as well.

My one dog is a super chewer but the other has more delicate jaws and tends to be susceptible to hurting herself on some of his more sturdy toys. I grabbed this on a whim because it looked a bit narrower (good for my girl) but still sturdy (good for my boy and my furniture). First of it was definitely what I was hoping for in size. While sturdy it is still thin enough that my girl doesn't hurt herself when she inevitably runs away with it when the other dog isn't looking. However, it did take both dogs a good deal of coaxing to take an interest. Eventually I ended up hitting the toy with some gravy from their food before they really wanted anything to do with it. Whatever the scent of the toy is it clearly wasnt enough motivation for either of them. (Hence the four stars) but the gravy worked as an attractant for my dogs at least. And now for durability. It's extremely sturdy. Despite the rocky start it is now one of my boys go too toys when he gets to pick something to play with. My girl likes it but it is certainly more his toy then hers. Which is good because his jaws are insanely destructive and so far this toy is holding up far better then the other two I purchased at the same time, and as it's one of his favorites it's not from lack of use! Over all this toy is great if you have a super chewed and/or a dog with thinner jaws who need a good quiet time toy. If your dog isn't as instantly curious as you'd like I recommend some sort of attractant.

My dog can chew through anything so I didn't have high hopes but she is obsessed with this thing and it's really held up so far. She hasn't had it long, but it's looking good. It's already outlasted her other chews so I count that as a win. My only concern is that it could be too hard, and she might crack a tooth. I only let her have it when I'm there to supervise and if she gets a little too aggressive with it, I take it away for a while. We got this because my mom's dog has had one that's lasted a few months and he is another super-chewer that goes through toys like they're nothing. So, if you're looking for something that seems to hold it's own against a toy-destroying power chewer, this one is worth the price. It does have a fairly strong bacon smell at first (that will cling to your hands if you handle it), but that fades pretty quickly once it's out of the box.

I was so excited about this, but after 2 years of trying between 6 different dogs, not a single one will touch it. I give up. It is incredibly hard, way more than any other chew toys I’ve gotten, so maybe that’s why they won’t chew it. Not even my cane corso. However, my daughter did discover that it makes a pretty decent back massager!

This is a hard nylon material, not a soft rubber. They mean it. It is hard, it makes noise when dog throws it around or drops it. You can't throw it to the dog, it is HARD and would hurt if it hit them. The dog likes it just fine but I prefer something softer. I kept it because my bernedoodle chews up everything but hasn't damaged this.
