Great fence for someone who wants an easily assembled project. Quality control could’ve been better as the caps to the posts were not included and a couple boards had oozed sap and made discolored areas on a couple of boards. I tried contacting the company but had no luck.

I received this on July 8, 2025, and assembled it in under 45 minutes. Right away, I noticed how flimsy it felt when moved—it’s made from soft cedar that dents with just the pressure of a fingernail. Sure, it smells nice, but this isn’t about repelling moths. The whole point was to conceal our outdoor AV condenser. I’ve got solid woodworking skills, and building one from scratch had been on my to-do list for a while. But when I saw this pre-made unit, I figured—why not? It looked just like something I would’ve built myself. I reconfigured it to span two panels across instead of using the return setup. The big flaw? No rear support, which means warping was inevitable. So I stepped in and added top and mid-length support bars to reinforce the structure and make it more rigid. The ground spikes are unless, and look like it was a part of another unit. As it stands, I give it until the end of summer before it starts to rot. Stay tuned.

The overall quality of the components is okay. Before you even try to assemble it, read my experience. First, the hardware is useless, the instructions aren't great but it's sort of easy to figure out how it goes together. Go to the hardware store and get yourself 1.5" long stainless bolts, washers and nuts- 4 sets for the mounting legs and 8 sets for the rest. I used 10/32 for the mounting legs and 1/4-20 for the rest. Hand tighten the mounting legs on and assemble the bottom half of the fence. Tighten up the 6 nuts and bolts just past snug, but don't over tighten. Get the fence set in position and use a rubber mallet to drive the metal mounting legs/frame into the ground. Level it up. Then assemble the top half. Tighten it all up, check for level and install the top caps.

SO happy with this item! Huge upgrade from the eyesore our A/C unit has been on our side yard for years. Easy to install and adjust to the correct height. Quick tip - I removed the panel from the bottom steaks as I found them easier to drive deep into the ground with my mallet when they were shorter. Then I slide the top panel back on top. Color of the wood seems slightly orange, but I know it will fade soon in the sun so I don't mind. Great value for the price and quality/sturdiness are great so far! Just installed it so will update as the years go by.
