These were a direct replacement for a 2006 F550 truck. They fit perfect with no modifications. The only reason for a 4 Star rating is that one of the bulb reflectors was a bit out of alignment to the bulb and I had to move it around with a screwdriver through the bulb opening to get it aligned with the bulb. These combined with a new set of LED bulbs was a vast improvement in light output for this truck. For the price they are a good value. I will probably use them again on another truck in the fleet that has cloudy lenses. ... show more

First of all, these headlights installed perfectly and looked great! Now to the problem. When on low beam, these appeared good. I had performed aiming once it got dark and everything seemed good. Went for a drive and switched to high beams and the focal point of the light shot straight to the ground! Bad enough that it was dangerous to drive because I couldn't see 10 feet in front of my truck! Made numerous adjustments and no improvement at all. Upon further inspection of the light I noticed a major difference in the reflecting cone that hangs in front of the bulb. These dont come down straight vertically whereas the OEM ones are perfectly vertical. If it weren't for this design mistake I believe they would work great because other than that they look and fit like factory. This would not be much of an issue for someone who lives in the city and never has to use their high beams but out in the rural areas these are absolutely useless. I have had the same problems with aftermarket lights in the past and should have known better. If you spend any amount of time on the highway away from the city lights, save yourself the trouble (and safety concerns) and spend the extra for OEM. I included pics of the cone from these and my old lights (which are difficult to see) and I will include a pic from my new OEM lights when they arrive to help show the issue with these lights more cleary.
