abunda_amazon_reviews It is with mixed feelings. I like to give products a fair review - and with all of my reviews that I've provided this is one of the hardest. The X5 works. I've picked up both the Olympus 12mm and the Olympus 45mm and have been using these extensively. I am a pro photographer and I use this over the X3 gimbal on important jobs. I like the bigger sensor for sure. In that sense you sure do get what you pay for. With that bigger sensor you have an additional requirement to focus. This is easily forgotten and can be very complicated in complex shots. I've messed this up and lost shots I would not have lost with the X3. My fault. The real question is one of trust and faith. Is this really better in all of the other ways that I need it to be, and that it advertised itself to be. I don't know. I was shooting in "Log" mode and with what seemed like a nice middle-of-the-road exposure ended up under-exposing all of my blacks. I don't know how that happened but it shouldn't have - but that could have been my fault. I've seen a bit of "jello" on the 45mm lens video and this may just be physics. However, it could have something to do with proper lens balance. I use the CamDesign 37mm Pro Angle Vented Metal Lens to balance the 45, and a modified (I ground it down) balancing ring built for the 17mm something or other for the 12mm. Neither balances on the perpendicular axis but I can get balance on the fore/aft axis. The problem is that DJI doesn't give us balancing rings, doesn't take phone calls, barely responds to email and never even thought about this issue as I can best figure. Just dropped the gimbal on us. I don't want to try to glue pennies to the starboard side of the gimbal just to find balance - when this could have easily been built into the rig (I have telescopes that are built to allow counterbalances - it's not rocket science). So we're just out there trying to figure this out on our own. I know that these lenses are not from DJI, but they pride themselves on supporting them - so ....? Maybe this review is one concerning support, but I've really had to rig up solutions and I just don't know whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of this rig.
