Can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I am with the camera, but more importantly, the company that sells it. PhoenixPhoto will not acknowledge that the camera is not working correctly and wants to take 20% of the cost of it with the return!!! I have used action camera for years and I can tell you, this one didn’t work as it should. After using it for just 1 day the audio is totally unusable and the seal for the battery is coming apart!! Unbelievable, ITS DEFECTIVE. Why I am I paying for your defective product???? This company should be removed from amazon.

I have used this for a week. And I found it has one big problem. It keeps showing memory card read failure error. So I have to take the card out and re-insert it. Then it works for a while. This is so annoying beacuse every time I need to the the memory card out, I also need to take the body out. I had to buy "PGYTECH Camera Cage" which allows me to open the cover while the body is in the case. A week later, I bought the same camer again for my work. As soon as I open the box and turn the camera on, I could see dead pixels on the back screen. Moreover, the memory card slot didn't work properly. I experienced card jam. So I decided to return it. This seller only provided USPS. And I had to print the label by myself, and pay for shipping. I am disappointed.

When the unit works, it's great; however, there is a known problem where it would shut off completely and never start back up even with a full charged battery. I tried hard resetting it and tried powering it on while plugged in. In order for it to work, I had to remove and insert the battery a few times (as recommended on reddit) just to power it on. After that it works like normal. A few days later, same problem. I can’t recommend this product due to instability issues.

I've owned a couple of dozen action cameras over the years and currently have five, including this one. This is the one and only camera that will literally stop working if you dare to use it 5 times without registering it. Why register it? So they can try and sell you insurance and accessories. That's it. Imagine taking this on a vacation, turning it on and being told by your camera that you can't use it because it needs to be registered before the 5th power on?! The camera is fantastic. DJI? Not so much.

This is my second action cam first one was the Brave 7Le which was very good but not on this level. I have no issues with the image quality it is outstanding but like others have noted it is a bit flat and less colorful than some other cameras. Mostly more professional types like this because it enables them to tinker with the images using software programs but the casual user probably isn't going to be doing that yet it should be colorful enough for most and the videos and pics are superb. The built-in mic on this camera isn't that good and in order to have decent audio you will have to add an external mic which also requires a $25 adapter but this would be essential if you require decent audio. Also if you have a Samsung phone and use it to connect to this camera it can be a bit tricky but doable. It is not essential to connect the two but if you want any firmware updates you are going to have to do this. If not for the mic issue and the lack of more vivid color I would have given this camera 5 stars. BTW my pics were taken on a very hot hazy day to be fair will take some in the bright clear sunshine and see if there is any difference.

Osmo Action stopped working after 5 days!!! Also both DJI and Camrise have horrible customer service as DJI admitted it was defective but said that they would replace so to return to Camrise. Camrise only gave me half of my refund because I didn't have the box for a defective product!!!!
