I researched the DJI OM 4 extensively before purchasing it. The quality has gotten better with each generation. This last generation features a magnetic clip on/off mount for your cell phone. It's very intuitive and you can use it with or without the DJI app. With the DJI app you'll have a bunch of pretty cool features and effects. With just your phone's native video/photo app you of course still use the gimbal's stabilization features. The included tripod is very handy (get it?) and the threads at the bottom of the gimbal are the same as most other industry standard mounts and extension poles, making it very useful on different kinds of stands/tripods. The OM 4 folds up very compact. Some reviewers have said that it's "pocket sized". Well, it sort of is "pocket" sized if you have a larger than average pocket. You're not going to cram this into a pair of jeans, but you probably could easily fit this in a coat or jacket pocket. The battery life on this gimbal is very good. After using it off and on throughout the day, leaving it stored without recharging and then using it again a few days later, it still held about half the charge. I would say that's pretty good usage, without recharging, for most people using it over a weekend or short trip. Like most USB connected devices, this gimbal is very easy to recharge. Lastly, software updates to the gimbal are periodically pushed out from DJI via the app. It's all pretty intuitive and seamless.     • Been looking for a video stabilizer with a magnificent battery life?? This is your dream come true!

Not sure if i have any CONS for this product (yet), if there's gonna be anything, its gonna be battery life or the Gimbal's balance/durability over time. However if there's anything i find later, i shall be back to review my post here accordingly. For now this product can have all my 5 stars. the PROS: ***Magnificent battery life. This is the major highlight of this product!! ***It came Bundled with a tripod attachment & wrist strap. ***The gimbal stabilizer is so precise and efficient! while this gimbal is really smart, it also requires a decent amount of user input & expertise. Suffice to say you need to also understand how to handle and move with it,.. then the gimbal will listen to you. My first videos were awful, but after continuous use and different takes at different angles and speed...i am now able to make really beautiful shots with it. ***the DJI software is not the best (it keeps getting better though) and neither will it get the best out of your phone's camera but it really does have a lot of cool neat features and video shooting modes! most especially,...shooting time lapse videos,..in this mode it lets you program points that it will move to when shooting time-lapse, a setting which you will never get if you're trying to shoot time lapse with your phone's native camera app instead. It's worth noting that the limitations that i found with the dji software would have been a major deal-breaker for me,.. but i was able to find a workaround. I'd like to say i was disappointed to find that all video shooting modes in the DJI app never supported 4k resolution, max settings it allowed for my phone was 1080p/30fps and 720/60fps, even though my phone is able to shoot 4k30 and 1080 up to 240fps using the native camera app. But i do acknowledge that the manufacturer mentioned that their app has limited compatibility with phones., hopefully in the nearest future and future updates of the dji app/firmware,.. more phones will be added to their compatibility list! If you're experiencing this limitation as well, i got a pro-tip for you, switch to your phone's native camera app and go to manual/pro video mode and you will have almost all the features from the dji app,..but the time lapse point to point feature is what you most likely wont get. So basically if i want to shoot a time-lapse video, i use the dji app.. every other thing else? i do with my native camera app instead. So far so good i have been able to shoot and make some really nice and awesome videos with this thing and the battery life has been more than impressive! ***Intuitive controls, ergonomics is satisfactory. ***Gimbal was quite easy to setup and startup. User manual nicely detailed as well. ***Magnetic phone attachment is a real plus here! you dont have to worry about lousy clamping anymore. Verdict: I highly recommend this to any video enthusiast. PS: Unbox video, setup and clips of personally recorded videos shall be on my tube soon. ... show more

I was very hesitant to purchase this, given the poor reviews and support for Android users. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was not listed as a supported phone for this gimbal. My wife owns an iPhone, so I ordered it anyway thinking that I could at least use her phone. -- Does this have the full functionality of DJI Mimo on an Apple phone? No. But, do you need it? I'm not a professional videographer, but this works great for making social media content and taking family videos of our newborn. The ONLY complaint I have: You can't use this with a phone case. Two different type of mounts are included. One clip on, and one stick on. The clip on side hooks are not wide enough to accommodate a phone case, even if it's able to stretch wide enough. Well, you'd think an easy fix would be to mount the sticker to the back of your phone case. But, not only does it take 12 hours to cure, it won't even work. When you turn on your DJI OM 4, the gimbal will refuse to work. I'm not sure if its a weight issue, or what. There are multiple reports of this on YouTube, Amazon, and DJI's own forums. BUT... don't let that keep you from purchasing this. I'm sure there is an easier solution. There are some reports of people cutting/drilling out a hole in the back of their phone cases and getting it work with the sticker. -- Anyone want a money maker? If DJI or another third party came out with a phone case that was compatible with this gimbal: Enjoy your newly found income. ... show more
