Size: DJI Neo 2 Motion Fly More Combo
I just wanted to let it be known that the DJI Neo 2 has been compatible with a Google Pixel 7 Pro running GrapheneOS (Android 16), so far. I read where many people weren't able to load the Go Fly app on several versions of Pixel phones (app required to activate the drone). Some also said they where able to activate their drone, but when they changed the camera settings they would lose image feed when recording. I have tested everything and all is working fine for me. Apparently, the issues have been fixed and I didn't have any trouble. The app is only available directly from DJI's website and not the Google Play Store. I think many people had trouble just because they weren't used to installing apps from unknown sources. You may have to change settings on your phone to enable "sideloading", as they call it. The flight simulator feature of the app is not compatible with the Neo 2, so that part doesn't work. Very fast shipping! Other than being forced to use DJI's app to activate the drone, I am very pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend it. The motion controller is a whole new way to fly that is much easier and more intuitive than a regular controller. A beginner will get the hang of it quickly. I much prefer it. The trouble is some advanced features like cruise control and certain camera settings can only be unlocked if you have a regular stick type controller (additional $150). It's not a deal breaker since we've all been conditioned to not expect full ownership of the things we buy. The video quality is amazing and the footage is very stable. It has 49GB of built in storage, but no memory card slot to add more. That is plenty of space as long as you remember to transfer and clear out things now and then. This drone would be great for adventures that want to get impossible shots with all the automatic selfie modes it has. The obstacle avoidance, voice control and tracking also all work great. I recommend you get a set of bright day ND filters if you want more cinematic shots. The magnetic Freewell brand have been working well for me. It's to be expected that the batteries will run down quickly and they do. You'll realistically get 8-12 minutes per flight if zooming around at top speed. It overheated a few times after running wide open and I actually almost lost it when it emergency landed. I found that it tends to do that only in sport mode and it was 92 degrees outside. Anything running that hard in the heat would have trouble though, so I don't fault they device. You will need a charging brick and USB-C cable capable of at least 65 watts, but preferably 100 watts in order to use the included charging base to it's full potential and fast charge 2-3 batteries simultaneously. If you just plug it into an old regular phone charging brick, only one battery will charge at a time and at decreased speed. There are some aftermarket, modified batteries available that are essentially just 2 original DJI batteries that have been combined into one case. I'm sure these would work to add a few minutes, but there's a point of diminishing returns due to weight and not worth the extra money for me. Plus, I already encountered overheating issues and a bigger battery may exacerbate it. The regular batteries charge very fast with the right charger and I'm satisfied. Even though I really like this drone, being totally reliant on DJi's servers to use the thing doesn't sit well with me and that's why I've avoided DJI for years until I saw the Neo 2 and had to have one. I'll be looking for something not so "closed source" next time, but I really do like the motion controller and don't know if I'd be able to find similar elsewhere. So far, the app and everything has worked flawlessly, but DJI could ground or control all their drones instantly with the push of a button and that's not cool and kind of scary if you think about it. Not to mention, every flight is logged on a map and sent to China. I just kinda feel like all the drones are part of a big sleeper cell spy bot network that could be activated at any time. Maybe don't leave a battery in it when not in use, just in case.

Amazing little drone! It does a little of everything. I bought the N3 controller separately. With that and the goggles you can do it all, FPV, cinematic landscape shots, Quick Shots, Follow Me Features, Ect.. And it does it all pretty well. Battery time is the only Boo, its like 12 minutes real flight time. Less if its windy or your rocking at full sport speed in FPV. I really love how compact it is and easy to deploy. I use the follow feature alot with my Motorcycle and it keeps up fairly well till above 20mph then it will lag behind a bit and likely hit something as it's going full speed to catch up. But just hiking or snowboarding its pretty impressive. If I your on the fence, grab it!

I’ve owned several DJI drones, including the Mini 4K, and the Neo has quickly become one of my favorites. The first thing that stands out is how responsive and dynamic it is. It’s fast, agile, and incredibly fun to fly. Whether I’m flying manually, using the joystick controller with the goggles, or taking advantage of the follow modes, the Neo feels very capable and versatile. The camera quality is excellent, and the footage has consistently impressed me. Battery life is shorter than my Mini 4K, but that’s honestly expected given how much more aggressive and responsive the Neo is. You’re trading a little flight time for a much more dynamic flying experience, which is a trade-off I’m happy to make. One thing worth mentioning is that DJI’s ecosystem isn’t always uniform across its drone lineup. Features like accessing recorded footage, retrieving goggle recordings, or syncing flight logs with third-party services such as AirData aren’t always handled exactly the same way from one DJI model to another. From my research, that’s more of a DJI infrastructure and software ecosystem issue than a problem with the Neo itself. Once you understand the workflow, it’s a minor inconvenience at most. What I appreciate most is the flexibility. I can use it as a simple recreational drone, enjoy the follow-me features, fly it manually, or pair it with goggles for a completely different experience. It offers multiple ways to fly depending on what you’re trying to accomplish. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase. Right now I use it recreationally, but I also plan to incorporate it into my professional work. For anyone looking for a compact, capable, and highly enjoyable DJI drone, I would absolutely recommend the Neo.

Size: DJI Neo 2 Motion Fly More Combo
Another epic drone from DJI. DJI might cost more than other brands but DJI = quality and it is worth the price. I ordered the fly more combo which includes three batteries the goggles N3 and the motor controller 3. I'll break up the review into the individual components. For those that want the short answer: this drone is a perfect 5 star product with its only flaw being the short battery life. Batteries: I don't like how they snap in the drone. They don't slide in like the mini series. You need strong thumbs to press the release buttons to remove from the drone. Manageable but the biggest issue is the short life. I get 9 minutes before it hits 25% and forces RTH (return to home). The neo2 drone does not allow you to adjust the percentage battery level alarm like with their other drone models. It will trigger at 30% or 25% (depending on how far the drone is from you(. Whereas if you flew the mini 5 pro or other mini series drones, you can move the slider and set it to alarm at 10%, 15%, or whatever you want. With the Neo 2 drone, the percentage level is locked at 25%. The last thing I want to say is I order three more batteries so I cycle between six batteries. This is because I only get about 9 - 10 minutes of use per battery so they're getting recharged very often and the cycle count climbs quickly. By having s 6 batteries to cycle through instead of just three, I'm slowing down the recharge cycle count by half. If you decide to buy additional batteries, make sure it's DJI OEM batteries. The batteries are "smart batteries" and have to be genuine DJI to be able to receive their firmware battery update which the drone checks (see pic). N3 Goggles: despite this being the budget-friendly option, I specifically chose this because it is designed to fit over prescription glasses. I was able to wear my glasses comfortably with these goggles, unlike the goggles 3 where you HAVE to remove any glasses and then mess with the individual diopters. If you have an astigmatism like me, you're out of luck because there's no adjustment for that so that is why I got the N3 which allowed me to wear my prescription glasses. It has a very clear, easy to see screen. The goggles resolution display is only 1080 HD but it does record at the full 4k resolution - make sure to buy a micro SD card for these goggles if you want to record with the telemetry overlay. The strap is very easy to adjust tension simply by twisted the knob on the back where the heavy battery pack is. The battery life of the goggles is 2½ hours. The goggles does not have a hot swappable battery but you can charge it while it is in use so technically you can connect it to a power bank while flying outside, extending your flight time. Even wearing this outside on a very sunny day, there was NO light bleed through (no sunlight was able to get in) thanks to the excellently molded padding around the goggles. These might be the budget friendly goggles but they performed FLAWLESSLY. If you wear glasses, get this N3 and save yourself the $300 from upgrading. The ONLY negatives of the N3 is it is heavier than the Goggles 3, doesn't display as high resolution, and lacks the pass through camera to see in front of you so if you wear the N3, you have to remove them any time you want to see your surroundings. Charger Hub: I used the hub until I bought an aftermarket replacement. I don't like the hub because it does not support simultaneous charging but rather sequential charging meaning it charges the most full battery until it's 100% and then the second highest charge battery until it's full then the third battery until full taking up to 3 hours to fully charge all 3 batteries. Because there is no LCD display, you do not know what the battery level is. Before LED lights give you an estimate of 0-25%, 26-50%, 51-75%, or 76-100% but no precise values. There is no way to set the charger to stop charging at 90% which I want to do The preserve the battery life as charging it all the way up to 100% is not good for lithium ion batteries. Even the DJI website says for best battery health, keep battery level between 20% and 80%. The aftermarket charger I bought has an LCD screen that tells me the exact battery level for each battery so I can manually disconnect it when it reaches 80% (or whatever level I want). It also has the option to charge all three batteries simultaneously rather than sequentially like this included DJI hub. Neo2 drone: this one is a lot more versatile than I realized. You can control it with hand gestures, voice commands, a soft keypad on your phone using the app, the motion controller and goggles, buying and using the FTV controller 3 and goggles, or the standard remote controller on your phone has a screen. I don't think I've ever owned a drone that has so many different ways to control it. Hand gestures hand worked surprisingly well. Also, if you hold your palm flat underneath the drone, it recognizes it and automatically lands on your hand even if you don't press any buttons. Very cool. The drone is light at only 160 grams (including the transceiver which was already installed and screwed onto the drone from the kit) so strong winds can push it around. When it's not too windy though, this thing is agile and handles like a champ. Max speed is 26 miles per hour in sport mode. In normal mode, object avoidance works very well as long as you're not flying near narrow objects like power lines or thin tree branches and as long as there is sufficient lighting for the optical cameras to work. I was used to flying the Mini 4 pro using the scroll wheel to angle the camera. You can't do that with the motion controller 3. The gimbal does not move with the rotary switch. It just switches disabled when flying. The only way to point the camera down is the angle the entire motion control it down which makes the drone wants to dive. To counter this, I use my thumb and press on the hat switch up simultaneously while angling the motion controller down. This allows me to point the camera down while not losing altitude as the donw command is canceled out by the up command by holding the 4 direction hat switch button "up". The only negatives to this drone is: •No MicroSD card. You're limited to the 44 GB of built-in on board memory. •The included plastic camera gimbal cover is annoying to get on and off. • It is the loudest of all my DJI drones. Not only is it loud but the frequency is very high, like a huge swarm of mosquitoes. Even from 300 ft away I can hear it whining. In contrast, my larger mini 5 pro becomes silent by 150 ft. •No way to digitally zoom in using the motion controller 3. •No way to adjust the object avoidance distance before Auto braking •no way to adjust the low battery level percentage. •Lastly, no way to adjust the drones volume. Indoors, the voice is really loud. It is so loud that it is startling when it says "fly in a well-lit area." Or doing the "3-2-1 takeoff". I already checked the DJI forums. The drone verbal alerts have a fixed volume and there's NO way to adjust or mute it. The same thing goes for the object avoidance and low battery alert beeping. They're all a fixed volume. Fortunately this is all software so maybe one day DJI will patch this and fix these little annoyances. The price for this kit is high but if you buy each component individually, you'd end up spending more so it's still a good deal for the bundle. The performance of the Neo 2 drone is exhilarating and way more fun with the motion 3 controller and goggles. It defaults to beginner mode so it flies very slow until you get more comfortable and then you can disable beginner mode and fly like a maniac. Fly safe and have fun!

This DJI drone package with the FPV goggles is a must have for anyone getting into drones and want the top quality DJI experience. It is incredibly easy and intuitive to fly for a complete beginner yet versatile and advanced for the more experienced. Of course it’s top quality, DJI just doesn’t make bad products so you can feel confident purchasing this because it is not only well built but it has excellent components throughout and DJI offers the best of the best product and customer support. You can fly this with hand gestures, with the app, with the controller or the FPV setup and either way is awesome. The camera footage is great and DJI has an amazing operating system for editing your footage. Downloading is fast and simple with the app and it amazes me every time I use it just how easy it is. Honestly I just can’t recommend this setup enough, it is so much fun to use and as a tool it is incredible. I highly suggest this to anyone even thinking about a drone purchase.

Absolutely 5 stars. I've been flying drones for a few years now, and this is by far the most complete one yet. As a way to get into the FPV experience, this was my first, and was not disappointed. Took about two weeks to arrive, but well worth the wait. Not sure where to start, but here we go. Best follow drone I've seen yet. I have the Hoverair X1, and it does a great job of tracking, but this one is even better. I walked through a very dense tree line yesterday, and it had no problem dodging the tree branches. I was fun to watch the video later and see it dodging up and down. So precise. The goggles are an amazing experience. Truly immersive and hard to describe if you have never flown one of these. The control is very precise and the obstacle avoidance is next level. It really keeps an eye on you and will allow some level of freedom, but won't allow you to get into any danger. Which is funny, because this thing is basically indestructible. The outer shell is super solid. I crashed once in the basement when I tried to play with sport mode, but it just bounced off and was ready to start right back up. I've seen a few reviews of the original Neo and there are lots of reviews of numerous crashes and I have yet to see a single one where the drone was damaged. I expect the same for the Neo 2. I'll be purchasing the FPV controller at some point once I get a little more experienced. With the motion controller you cannot go into true manual control for max speed and agility, but this is great for now. Good news is all the DJI controllers basically work with all the drones. I have an Air 3 and can use the RC-N3 controller and it worked great. OH and don't forget about the gesture control. You have to try it to believe it. I call it Jedi mind mode, and it does sort of feel like it. Just yesterday I did my first audio recording through the DJI fly app, and it really did remove the drone prop sound. Pretty shocking how well it did. To recap, can't think of one thing negative to report on this one. At $599 it was too hard to pass up.

1/5 — Started Out Fantastic, Then the Drone Crashed and the Support Experience Became a Nightmare I want to start by saying that my first day with the DJI Neo 2 was actually fantastic. The drone was working great, I was genuinely impressed with it, and I was having an amazing experience flying it. It was easy to use, fun to fly, and initially I was extremely happy with my purchase. If my experience had continued like that first day, this probably would have been a 5-star review. Unfortunately, that changed very quickly. During a normal flight, the drone was only approximately 500 feet away and still had around 40% battery remaining. Suddenly, the RC/HD transmission signal dropped extremely low and the aircraft crashed. This wasn't a situation where I deliberately pushed the drone until the battery died or flew it some ridiculous distance away. I was roughly 500 feet away with plenty of battery remaining when things suddenly went wrong. The aircraft also after the crash displayed ESC-related error/warning messages making the drone completely unable to fly without repair even though visually it looked 100% fine - the drone never touched any liquids either, which made me seriously question whether there was an electronic or propulsion-system problem with the drone. I tried going through DJI support. I spent a ridiculous amount of time going through troubleshooting and jumping through hoops with DJI technical support trying to figure out what happened and what my options were. I provided information, explained what happened, went through their process getting juggled between tons of people, and tried to get the issue properly addressed - until the final conclusion was they have no idea what happened, but they can't do anything since I didn't officially buy it from their website. After going through all of that, I was ultimately told that there was basically nothing they could do for me because I purchased the drone through Amazon rather than directly through DJI. That was incredibly frustrating. After spending all that time working with the actual manufacturer of the product, I essentially ended up right back where I started and was told to deal with the retailer. Then there's the Amazon return process. Instead of simply giving me a normal replacement option, the replacement application wasn't available. The only return method I'm being given requires me to package THE ENTIRE ORDER back into the box and wait at my house for someone to come pick it up. And somehow, even that has been made unnecessarily difficult. THERE IS NO UPDATE OR NOTIFICATION TELLING ME WHEN THEY ARE COMING. No clear pickup time. No arrival window. No notification telling me when the driver is approaching. I'm apparently just supposed to have this expensive package completely boxed up and ready and wait around for someone to eventually show up at my house. BETWEEN Monday & Wednesday. I HAVE WORK from 9-5PM... They arrived today at 2PM apparently... For a product in this price range, this entire experience is unacceptable. And what makes this especially disappointing is that I ACTUALLY LIKED THE DRONE. My first day with the Neo 2 was great. I was excited about it, impressed with it, and genuinely enjoying the product. That's why I'm not writing this review because I simply didn't like the drone or changed my mind after buying it. I'm writing this because something went seriously wrong after what had initially been a fantastic experience, and trying to get the situation resolved has been more frustrating than the crash itself. The crash was entirely due to a manufacturing defect... I didn't buy a DJI drone expecting to deal with a sudden signal failure, an unexpected crash while the aircraft still had substantial battery remaining and only being 500 feet away, ESC-related warnings after the crash, hours of troubleshooting and dealing with DJI support, only to finally be told DJI couldn't help because I bought THEIR PRODUCT through Amazon FULFILLED BY THEM via Amazon, followed by an unnecessarily inconvenient and unclear return process. I understand that electronics can occasionally be defective. No manufacturer is going to have a 0% failure rate. What matters is what happens when something DOES go wrong. In my case, I went from being extremely happy with the product on day one to dealing with a crashed drone, error messages, technical support, being redirected between DJI and Amazon, worrying about whether I'll receive my full refund, repackaging the entire order, and now waiting around for a pickup without even knowing when someone is actually going to arrive. The amount of time and frustration involved has completely overshadowed the great experience I had with the drone initially. It's honestly a shame, because based purely on my first day using it, I would have had very positive things to say about the DJI Neo 2. But based on my complete experience—from the initial great flights, to the sudden crash, to the support nightmare and ridiculous return process—I can't give it anything other than 1 star.
