I recently got the DJI Mini 5 Pro, and overall I’m really impressed—it’s easily a five-star drone for me. It flies incredibly smoothly and feels very stable in the air, even when conditions aren’t perfect. That stability gives me a lot of confidence when flying, especially when capturing footage. One of my favorite features is the obstacle avoidance. It works well and adds an extra layer of safety, which is great whether you’re a beginner or more experienced. I also really like the ActiveTrack feature—it’s super useful and fun to use, although I do wish it was a bit more refined and accurate at times. The speed is another highlight. It’s definitely quick and responsive, especially in Sport mode. That said, I personally wish it could go even faster in Sport mode, or at least give you the option to customize the top speed. It would also be awesome if you could adjust how fast the drone returns to home, just to give users more control. Another thing I really love is the range and camera quality—they honestly exceeded my expectations. The video and image quality look amazing, and I’m impressed with how far the drone can go while still capturing clear footage. The Return-to-Home (RTH) feature is one of the best parts of this drone. It works incredibly well and gives me peace of mind. Anytime you lose signal—whether it’s from going behind trees, the controller disconnecting, or even the remote losing battery—the drone automatically starts flying back. That reliability is huge, especially since I’ve noticed the signal can drop sometimes when flying behind obstacles like trees. I do wish the signal strength was a bit better in those situations, but thanks to the excellent RTH feature, it hasn’t been a major issue. One improvement I’d love to see is with obstacle avoidance behavior. Right now, it mainly reacts by moving around or up and down, but it would be great if it could also back up when something is coming toward it. That would make it feel even smarter and safer in more dynamic situations. Overall, I really love this drone. It performs extremely well, feels reliable, and is a lot of fun to fly. This is the BEST drone on the market for the money by far. The image quality is incredible, the design is solid, and I wouldn't buy a drone that is not DJI brand. The one thing that I already had was the upgraded video remote, I would DEFINITELY recommend getting that over the basic version that comes with this. Also the extended life batteries are worth the extra money. I would recommend the 'Fly More PLUS' bundle. The 3 batteries, nice case, and touch screen controller are well worth the few hundred more dollars that it costs initially. Also get the Asurion Protection plan. It is the best! Definitely the most hassle-free coverage plan I have ever used. ... show more

I've owned a couple of drones from DJI. They are a company that has absolutely changed the consumer drone world. I am very happy with the mini 5 pro, small, portable, and takes incredible 4k videos and amazing pictures. I've had the DJI air 3 and i liked it but it was too big so I bought the mini 3 and i fell in love with it because it was small and not at all troubling to carry anywhere. The mini 5 is definitely an upgrade as it has 360 omnidirectional sensors which the mini 3 did not. Takes much better pictures and video with the one inch sensor all In a small package. There is a debate about it weighing more than 250 grams so there is a possibility that it will have to be registered in some countries. DJI did not disappoint with this drone so I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to get into drones. They a very easy to fly even for beginners. Battery live is about 20 to 25 minutes depending on the weather but it can be upgraded to a plus battery which will increase weight so be aware of that. ... show more

I bought this little guy back in November 2025 but I’m writing my review now after several trips. This is my first drone and I couldn't be happier I decided to get a drone I could see using for years rather than a cheap “beginner drone” with compromised cameras. And oh boy was it worth it. Every trip is a marvel. Flying and exploring perspectives you can’t on foot just opens your eyes to the beauty that surrounds you. The fotos you can take. The landmarks you can discover. This little guy made me travel just to experience it all. I do recommend that if you have a modestly decent 8”-11” tablet get the cheaper version without the built-in controller screen and get the FPVtosky tablet holder adapter for 22 bucks instead. Not only will you save 200 bucks but the screen real-state really makes you enjoy the flight itself because of how much you can see without forcing your eyes. Yes, it’s a slower process than just picking-up the screen controller and flying right away, but it is worth it. More so when looking at your captured footage and editing with the Lightcut app on the spot without needing to transfer to a computer first (The video was edited in Lightcut using my tablet). I don’t know if I’ll outgrow this drone, but it will be years if it ever happens. I love it. ... show more

Defective unit. It was great for the first couple flights then it flew straight into a tree, causing multiple critical failures including most prominently one arm disconnecting. Would not recommend this seller unless they reach out to help. 1 star.

This is an very nice drone, probably the best if not one of the best drones under 250 grams. It's very easy to use and maintain. It's only my 2nd drone and I believe it's a good choice for beginners. The DJI Fly app offers a great simulation environment to practice in without worrying about damaging your drone or flying in bad weather. The flight time per battery is less than advertised. I would suggest getting as many batteries as possible. The flight time is about 20 minutes longer with the intelligent battery plus, but you might want to register the drone in US if you use those because they're heavier. ... show more
