This is the second drone I have purchased. The first one was a heavily-marketed, cheap no-name drone that claimed to be technically state-of-the-art. In fact it was a piece of junk that ignored virtually all controller commands. I returned it for a refund. The DJI Mini 2 is a real drone, that worked flawlessly from the first time it was flown. The still and video images from the camera are superb. This drone was marked as "renewed" (with a discounted price) but as far as I can tell, it is in like-new condition, with all the original packaging and stickers still attached. A few comments: 1. By all means get the Combo package - you will wish you had if you don't. The extra batteries greatly add to the uninterrupted (by battery charging) flying time. 2. Watch the videos that are linked to the QR codes on the packaging. You will quickly learn the essential information for setup and operation of the drone. It is easy to fly, provided that you take the time to watch the brief quick-start videos. 3. If you have a case on your smartphone you may have to remove it. The Lightning connector between my iPhone and the controller would not fully seat into the iPhone until I took the phone out of the case (Otterbox Defender). The phone will never link to the controller if the Lightning connector isn't fully inserted. In summary, I am extremely impressed with the design and operation of the DJI Mini 2, and highly recommend it to anyone interested in getting a drone.

I got basically a new drone. All stickers still on and batteries were at 0 cycles. Took me one day to figure it out. Lots to learn as a beginner but the most important is the return home button…mail that down so panic does not set in. My first flight I lost sight of drone and could not find my location on camera, but could hear drone. Found it and all ended well. One skill at a time and lots of you tube for beginners videos. Great drone, lots of fun I highly recommend it!! This is a great drone and need open space to learn to fly it, what it does and does not do. I love this hobby, but a lot to learn! Handed wind better then expected. Range is incredible, photos are great. Videos are great. The program, I discovered new thing daily which I must master. Worth the money. Highly reckoned and get the fly more package!!

This is my first drone. Frankly, I was astonished at how well engineered this technology is. The amount of automation and failsafes alone amazed me. Return to home is such a well-conceived feature. The drone is intuitive to fly and the camera is well beyond my expectations. Battery life is impressive when you consider the performance of the aircraft and the electronics. In the end, I'm glad I bought renewed from this vendor. It offered considerable savings over other options. On delivery, I noted that there were missing parts (extra propellers), wrong parts (incorrect manual) and days later noted that one of the 3 batteries was a dud. The vendor has resolved all these issues to my satisfaction. The DJI Mini 2 Fly More renewed is an excellent choice for a first drone for me. I have a chance to learn at about half the financial risk of a new Mini 3 for example. And with all the failsafes I'm not too concerned about mishaps anyway.

I ordered the DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo Quadcopter with Remote Controller CP.MA.00000306.01 (Renewed) on Tuesday, June13, 2023, and it arrived on Friday, June 16, 2023. I opened the box within minutes after receiving it, took inventory and inspected everything. The Mini 2, controller, and triple battery charger had no scratches, scuff marks, cracks, dents, or chips. The added carry case had no wear at all. All other items in the Fly More kit were neatly packaged, and all the the bags had not been opened or torn. In fact, if I didn't know this was a "renewed" product, I would have thought I received an entirely brand new kit. I spent the evening reading instructions, then I stared to charge the batteries. The first battery charged just fine, but I couldn't get either the second or third batteries to start charging. The next morning, and throughout the day, I tried charging the two batteries using both the drone, and then the battery charger, but all I would get was all four LEDs on each battery flashing at the same time. According to the manual, this indicates the batteries were damaged. I contacted Amazon's customer service, and they sent an email to the seller. The seller was quick to respond. After a couple more emails back and forth, the seller sent an RMA label to ship the two batteries back for replacement. Within a few days I received two batteries that were both charged to about 75%. Both batteries were recognized by and charged to capacity in the Mini 2. Finally, while waiting for the new batteries to be received from the seller, I took the Mini 2 to the neighborhood park, and spent about 45 minutes (not total flying time) getting used to using the controller and DJI Fly app on my phone. I practiced takeoffs and landings, maneuvering, and attempting to keep from losing sight of the drone. No, it wasn't because I flew it too far away. The off-white color blends in a little too well with the sky, the greenery, and other backgrounds. If I couldn't see it after a couple minutes, I just hit the RTH- Return To Home button. That's a really nice feature. Overall, I gave 4 stars only because of the issue with the two batteries. The renewed DJI Mini2 Fly More package, plus the good customer service from Amazon customer service and the seller, I would have at least given a rating of 4.5 stars. UPDATE 7/9/2023 After using the two new batteries for a few days, I am totally satisfied with everything. Therefore, I have upgraded my overall rating to 5 stars *****. All is good. Jeff H.

I ordered a renewed DJI Mini 2 with the Fly Away package to save $90. I charged all three batteries before the first flight, as directed. The first flight was great; no issues. The second flight was with a different battery, and I received an error: battery failure, please throw away this battery and contact DJI for a replacement. I tried the 3rd battery and it said "power system hardware failure, please restart aircraft." I did that 4 times, re-seated the battery twice, and the issue remained. I put the 1st battery in the drone, and it worked fine. The Amazon Renewed support directed me to DJI support. DJI's website did not provide online support for the Mini 2 or any kind of contact info that I could find, so I randomly picked a Mavic model and got connected via chat. The rep told me she had to send an email to the USA tech support team and that they would contact me on Monday or Tuesday (it's Saturday). I asked if she could just send me 2 new batteries because I need them this week, and she said she only handles the Care Refresh plan, not tech support, so she was unable to do that. I'm writing this poor review in hopes that the seller will contact me so I don't need to wait for DJI support. If I don't receive a callback from the seller or DJI by Tuesday night, I'm going to return this thing and buy a new one, like I probably should have done in the first place... Update: DJI support said I could send the batteries back to them, they would inspect and/or fix them in 5-7 days, and then they would ship me either my repaired batteries or replacement batteries. They would not send me batteries immediately even when I offered to I guarantee payment of them with a credit card if I failed to return the bad ones. I decided not to do that and intended to return the drone as soon as I finish the project I'm doing this week. However, on the very next flight with the previously good battery, I received the Power system hardware error - please restart aircraft code: 30210. After 10 minutes, I noticed the drone body is hot to the touch; not sure if that's normal but seems unlikely. As with the other battery that threw this error, it happens every time I restart the drone, so now I have a completely inoperable drone. So the one (zero) star review applies to the reseller, FlySafe CR for not doing enough testing before reselling the unit, and it also applied to DJI Support who does not have an effective mechanism for providing fast, effective service handling DOA products for new customers. Now the question I face is do I buy a new DJI (not a refurb, obvi), or do I try my luck with another vendor?

The box still had the cellophane on it and everything inside appeared to be brand new. It could be that DJI just has a fantastic refurb system, but I couldn't care less. It's an excellent drone. The first time I flew I ran into a structure. Fortunately it only fell 6 feet or so, and there was barely even cosmetic damage. understanding the drone's inertia and having an intuitive grasp of the controls is crucial, so really do practice before flying near stuff. I also have only flown it in "cine" mode so far, which is much slower. I think staying in the mode for a while is a good idea, and the experience is still excellent. Really looking forward to the beautiful shots I'll take with this thing. The camera is excellent (4k) and surprisingly stable.
