    • A great product with few tips for new buyer.
This is an excellent product, I had it shipped to my mom who was on trip to USA and she on her way back brought it back to Pakistan. This product has an inherit weakness and that is its Gimbal, without warning you, It would someday earlier or later would start to throw Gimbal Over Load error and most of the folks out their exactly know the issue is mostly resolved by replacing the Gimbal ribbon. Now, I have learnt my hard lesson that is never travel without a gimbal lock in its place and annoying thing is, it’s hardly impossible to find the technical support inside Pakistan because Dji does not provide technical support to most of the countries and issue on my Dji mavic pro came without a crash and during travelling. Anyway, I am a technical person, I always known, if you like to keep a machine, you should also have ability and expertise to perform all sorts of repairs on it otherwise, it always going to be disappointment and rip-offs. I learned a hard lesson, you should always have an extra Gimbal, few ribbons and video cable as accessories present with you apart from carrying bag, extra batteries and lot of accessories which you buy later for it. Gimbal ribbon replacement on this is not straight forward and simple for new person, I ended up spoiling both the ribbons the first time I tried, obviously a big disappointment for the trip. Reason behind this was that most of the fellows teaching on youtube videos clearly misses the installation of middle part of ribbon and quotes something different and later once they figure out skips out on that part of video. Later on, once I had nothing to do, I got an idea, ironed my spoilt ribbon while new one was ordered and tried becoming expert on it that is where I figured out. So, apart from few ribbons and video cable, one should also have a spare gimbal so that he may practice on it and have it ready if issue arises then without wasting time, he should replace the entire and later once he had time, he could refurbished the old one. A part, if folks in Pakistan are interested in more tips, then let me clarify that Pakistan does not have any specific drone laws but rule of thumb is, never fly anywhere close to the military or government installations. Further, make sure, once you fly, try not to attract lot of audience as drones still are not common in Pakistan and they not knowing the laws would try to confiscate it from you or you may end up doing lot of explanations. Do not fly where it bothers anyone or he/she may be curious. Much better would be, if you are on a trip, try take permission from local law enforcement agency, ask them if it’s ok for you to fly the drone and once they are on your side, try not to bother the locals in-order to avoid any complain. If you can’t do that, try find open areas with hardly any population. ... show more

    • Not for Beginners
I have been flying DJI drones for a while now, and I have to say that the Mavic Pro is not something for beginners. This is a more advanced drone to be taken seriously! It isn't a toy! If you are going to drop the amount of money that this runs, and think that you are just going to be able to take it out of the box and just fly... you are very wrong. The Mavic Pro requires manual configuration and FAA Registration. It responds to controls like a champ and it handles itself very well in the air! I love this drone! It is the second drone in my fleet and it lives up to the DJI reputation in quality. I strongly advise watching some YouTube vids on this drone first and also on how to properly use the batteries for this system. I also strongly suggest getting a warranty for this drone. You want to fly safe and smart, but if anything goes wrong, as things tend to do at times, you want the protection to secure your investment. ... show more

Drone antiguo primera version del Mavic Pro. Funciona perfecto. El producto llego bien empacado y estaba todo nuevo no obstante haber sido descontinuado el modelo hace varios años. Antes de este compre otro mas economico en Amazon, el cual decia "remanufacturado por dji" y vendido por Amazon. Despues de dos vuelos dejo de funcionar la transmision de video. No se pudo reparar, la tarjeta principal venia dañada. Perdi los US 600 dolares que habia pagado. Por el contrario este ultimo estaba realmente nuevo y funciona perfecto. Tienen que fijarse muy bien del ranking del proveedor. En esta caso el proveedor tienen un alto nivel de satisfacción, superior al 95 % . El anterior lo habia comprado a un proveedor con un ranking de apenas el 80 % ese fue mi error. ... show more

An absolute great drone. Does everything I want from exploring to racing my friends. Relatively easy to use but I wouldn’t suggest it to first time flyers

    • Batteries not charging
At the moment, the batteries have been charging for the recommended time frame. Tried powering up the Mavic Pro and it will not turn on. We put the batteries back on the charger for several hours, still not charging up. One battery shows the lowest level of charge via the green lights blinking upon pushing the power button. The other battery has not shown any signs of life at all. Tried direct charging from power adapter and also tried the 4 battery charging station. No results with either. Leaving the two batteries on the charger for the evening. We'll see what happens over the next 7 hours. So far, very disappointed. ... show more

    • Great item, flawed battery
Love it! Easy to learn, so smooth. Company provided everything but it had a flawed second battery. I gave 4 stars because I needed both batteries to be effective for my wedding shoot :(. Waiting on their response to exchange this battery.
