i thought they would sit above the propellers but they don't. but they are more for side impact protection so they work. seem pretty durable. i feel like they could protect the drone from quite an impact. fairly thick. each of the four pieces are labeled so helps with install. snaps are nice and tight so i have no fear of them falling off. they do add a bit of weight to the drone but not horrible. all in all i would say they are a good investment to protect the drone. ... show more

    • Original DJI Air 2 prop guards
The prop guards fit perfectly. They do, however shorten the battery usage. They should be used when the drone might crash into something or harm others. I purposely flew the drone into a fence and it suffered no damage. It just bounced off. These feel sturdy.

    • Good product
These are well made and the drone did detect when they were installed. Would be good for a beginner pilot but adds a significant amount of weight. The aircraft still flies just fine but there's less flight time due to the extra weight. I've been flying for a few years so I don't really need them.

These guards are well built, good quality, and very easy to assemble and disassemble. The Mavic Air 2 does have sensors in each direction except of course.. side to side. These guards do remedy that, but if they would have engineered them just a tiny bit higher, they would have also prevented an accidental contact from above... But overall good guards for side protection where the sensors do not cover. ... show more

    • Gives a feeling of safety
After spending the money on the DJI Mavic Air 2 drone I was nervous about damaging it while learning to fly it. The drone is pretty smart and tries to keep you from being too stupid while learning to fly it. This prop guard fits perfectly and it flies just fine with the guard in place. I've only used it a couple of time but now I'm confident that I can avoid obstacles without the need for the guard. ... show more

    • An excellent way to keep minor bumps into obstacles from becoming a drone-crashing nightmare
These guards are stronger and bigger than I expected, but the drone flies perfectly well with them (I would expect a minor hit to battery life). After crashing my drone into a printer while flying indoors, which I seriously do not recommend with the Mavic Air 2, I purchased a set of these and then gently nudged the drone into a wall: super simple recovery without crashing, and they look strong enough to take a moderate hit. Note that the drone cannot be folded with these on, and the whole assembly is *large*, but the mount or dismount easily without tools. If you're going to fly close to obstacles, these are a must have. ... show more

    • Locks on securely, saved my Mavic Air2 from certain death.
It's lightweight and snaps securely onto the Mavic Air2. I, accidentally, flew my Air2 into a tree where it got hung up on a branch 20-30 feet up, hanging sideways so the props wouldn't start up. Shortly after getting the drone stuck, a breeze blew and we could hear it dislodge from the tree. When it hit the ground it hit on the side. The propeller guard to the entire impact!!! saving the drone from certain doom. The propeller guard did crack around the clamp that holds it onto the arm of the drone, but still well worth the cost of the propeller guard, I will be ordering a replacement! ... show more

    • Perfect for protection
We were travelling to an area with a lot of trees. I've never used prop guards but thought they might be a good idea for what I wanted to shoot. These are easy to install, work great, and protect the props extremely well. They are not full cage protectors like on the mini, but they cover most of what you want. ... show more
