DJI does it again ... a Masterpiece!!!
This is an amazing piece of technology. The many sensors and transducers open limitless opportunities in coding/learning. Yes, it is also fun to play with as a simple RC vehicle, but it is way more than that. As for the vendor, the item came solidly packaged with a layer of foam in between the inner and outer boxes. Great Job, and thank you.

Great fun to build, even better to drive!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. As a longtime Lego robotics system teacher, I found this rovot kit to be a fantastic breath of fresh air. I own three DJI drones, and I'm pleased to say that the Robomaster machines completely lived up to my expectations. Construction took about two hours for the first kit, a little less for the second because we had figured out the technique for assembling the wheels. My 11-year old son assisted, and although he would have had a difficult time on his own, this is an easy task for kids just a little older than him. I wanted to really test the capabilities of the machine, so I took them outside and let me just say it: these are NOT all-terrain robots. You will want to avoid extremely rough conditions unless you don't mind light repairs and Q-tip cleaning. That said, these robots are extremely fun and engaging and the opportunity to learn Scratch and eventually Python coding means it's even more awesome.

Wow
These are pricey, but what a blast to play with. We and our 5 y/o have battles a few times a week (we got 2). Take a ~3 hours to put one together. I followed the you tube instructions which were very easy to follow. They respond very well to commands from your cell or iPad, quite agile. The wheels and turning ability are unreal. We have not come close to its full capabilities, but have fun having the explore the house and outside (hard surfaces). We have not used the pellets, sticking to just the laser action. These are not really toy's but really hi tech robots that are a lot of fun. They have facial/body recognition and can follow you around (its a bit creepy but 5 y/o likes it) if you want that. Camera has very clear visuals and the agility of all the parts: the turret, turning, fwd/bkwd, targeting etc. is unreal. For us it was money well spent, hopefully a great introduction into robotics. I believe these are expandable but we are not there yet.

Totally fun. Totally educational.
This is NOT a kids toy. It is actually a pretty good tool for exploring robotics and programming. I used it as part of a presentation at a robotics conference and it is amazing how many aspects of machine learning it succinctly demonstrates. Hopefully they'll expand the ability to implement your own machine learning models someday. But, great tool.

Missing important parts!!!
The package arrived fine although there were a couple dings on the unit package and there was only one piece of packing paper and gap betweens the outer box and the unit box. My son was excited about the unboxing. However, we were so disappointed that there were three parts missing, the Hit Detector, Intelligent Controller, and the Speaker, all should have been in the second layer compartment, were not there. Very disappointing, ruined the all the excitement of funally getting the shipment.

Screws cap and hole quality Problem !
Overall is a great product But the screws made cheap ,only drive in and out once and got wear-out. And the threaded hole made cheap as well ... there are several holes are loosened... And by the way that the customers agent“george” want the restocking fee so bad...go back to improving the screws first ...!!!

instructions were hard to read and hard to figure out the photos when putting it together and it's not written very well be better off going to the website and watch the videos on how to put it together had a little problem with the app but the tech support had a solution and it worked

Spent $500, 3 hours building and got a DOA robot
I purchased this back in September for a Christmas present to plan ahead. Spent about 3 hours building the robot on Christmas day then the entire rest of the day and into the next trying to make the wheel motors activate. After multiple firmware updates, re-wiring, re-calibrating and searching the web for help finally determined that the motion controller is faulty. DJI product support is terrible. Now I'm stuck with a $500 DOA robot and an upset child. Thanks. I will retract review when this problem gets fixed to my satisfaction.
