    • FPV Masterpiece With Just a Few Compromises
I picked up the DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo as a backup because of the DJI ban discussions, but honestly, this drone is extraordinary. Flying it with the goggles is a completely different experience compared to a standard drone. The camera is excellent, capturing crisp 4K video with smooth stabilization, and the Fly More bundle plus the 128GB card gives plenty of storage and spares to get started. Learning curve is surprisingly easy with the Motion Controller, though I can already tell most people will eventually outgrow it and want the traditional RC controller for more precision. Flight time is decent at around 20 minutes in real use, but with only one battery, you’ll wish to extras. The biggest drawback is the lack of obstacle avoidance sensors. It does have downward and backward sensors for stability, but no forward detection. If you’re flying in tight areas or trying aggressive maneuvers, you have to be alert because the drone won’t bail you out. Pros: Immersive FPV experience with goggles Excellent camera and video stabilization Easy to learn with Motion Controller Fly More Combo and 128GB card add real value Cons: No forward obstacle avoidance Motion Controller feels limiting as skills improve Only one battery in this bundle Summary: Even with a few trade-offs, this is one of the best FPV drones available.
