This kit is awesome. Not only is it a wonderful design, the instruction booklet made the entire process so much easier. They not only have photos (always a good reference) but written instructions as well. The way the instructions are set up, it lists all the parts you need to make an individual piece so it's easy to have them ready. Then it walks you through every step for each. It's a VERY detailed project and I would not recommend it for young kids. it also has a LOT pieces/parts & is large so having a space to lay out what you're working on would be a good idea. In fact, these miniature houses have prompted me to begin making miniatures myself. Highly recommend this project if you love to immerse yourself in details & if you don't expect quick results because this is project that will take me weeks, if not a month or more, to complete.

This was a very good build. I at first thought the materials were not great quality at first glance but was proven wrong. It all held up very nicely. You do need some very good glues. It mostly needs glue to pieces together everything. I found that I really enjoyed putting this together. I took my time and went slow. It took me about a week doing it for a couple hours a day. The details are amazing. There is a lot of lights but they were fairly easy to install. The main thing is pay super close attention to the instructions. The step by step instructions are in color and fairly easy to understand. You can always get creative with kits like this. You can decorate just as the instructions show are you can add or take away from it too. Just as long as the structure is built as shown. I really liked this one. It gets you creative

Advice: There is a portion of the floor that you have to be VERY careful when reading the instructions. Make sure you really look at orientation and which part you are working with. Project as a whole, make sure you use a cutting mat and xacto knife and change your blade regularly for all paper pieces, tweezers, super glue with a brush (less is more), be sure to cut the nubs on the wood pieces (xacto knife) prior to attempting to punch them out to avoid splinters and chunks out of the finished edges. Cons: Missing the music box entirely. I got this one because I liked the dust cover but apparently its sold separately but I can’t find the item to order it. Two of the pictures were misprinted effectively eliminating the A-frame street sign. The fabric for the bed frayed terribly so i wasn’t able to use it to do the stripe along the center of the quilt. Some of the instructions were mistyped so the item numbers didn’t match up with the picture of the item being used in the step. I went with the picture and was able to get it right. The color coding on the lights is really difficult to see the difference. One wire is white the other is super pale grey. If you cut any pieces of the wire be sure to get them in the trash. A splinter of one of those hair fine wires is extremely painful. Pros: i liked that some of the items were stickers which made things so much easier for fine details in tight spaces. The overall looks fantastic and I love the end result overall. It is a beautiful piece. The “Stained glass” elements are gorgeous. I love that I can pick and choose where things go. Its not necessarily set in stone. I probably wouldn’t have put the hanging ball out of the side window. It doesn’t look good or make sense. I would also have liked to see a frame around that piece. It looks very unfinished.

We had a blast putting this together. I bought it for my niece and nephews to help put it together, but that was a mistake. Not suitable for children, LOTS of tiny parts, very intricate.
