  • Absolute Chug Machine
Absolutely fun and challenging. I built this in a weekend. Most of the parts seemed of solid quality. Assembly was pretty straight forward. All electronics came solderless, which was a huge plus! I swapped the strings for Mammoth Slinkys and tuned to B standard. The bridge is like a Floyd Rose clone, which may not be beginner friendly. Wiring diagram was a little tricky, and I accidentally mounted the toggle upside down, but no big deal. ... show more

  • Solid guitar kit
Decent kit. Neck to body fitment was great. Easy wiring with plug and play harness.

  • Looks great!
Everything arrived safely, in perfect condition, and packed neatly. There's no sharp edges on the frets and they are all level. The neck fits snugly into the body as it should.

  • Fun Build!
I really enjoyed putting this together. The instruction are adequate for my experience level. I’ve never put a parts guitar together before but I’ve taken enough of them apart to figure it out. I immediately replaced all the hardware as the quality was dubious. I was able to use guyker replacement parts for the basics, but I’m having trouble finding f-spaced replacements for the pickup parts. Your experience may vary, so be careful about the replacement part measurements. The bridge is adequate, but I’m actively looking for a replacement. The nut came slightly off-center but that is solvable when I replace it. That’s a little more advanced repair, but as it came, it’s still playable and is easy to play. The pickups hum, but still sound great when played with heavy distortion. They are replaceable. Playing clean is unremarkable. The neck and body are great and were easy to sand down. I really like the wood of the neck; so much that I left it alone, sanded it smooth and waxed it. I painted the head stock because I feel it is compulsory with this style of guitar. The frets need and still need lots of sanding and cleanup. They were sharp, but doing all that work is part of the experience I was looking for. The wood of the finger board is beautiful. It’s easily my favorite wood on the kit. It plays pretty good and needs some minor smoothing. Again, part of the experience. I’m planning on buying another when I’m finished with this one. But next time I’ll have all the hardware ready before I put it together as they would have informed my decisions as I built this one. It’s a little annoying that the back plate (trem spring cover) is not flush to the back of the body, but that is solvable with some router work. This would be 5 stars if the nut was set better and if the hardware was of a higher quality. I would pay more for the kit if it came with better hardware. There is plenty of room to be creative and do some customization. I’m leaving this comment because I found the other reviews so helpful when I was shopping for this a kit. ... show more

  • Not a kit you want to build as a beginner unless you can do a F R style bridge
Looks like any other guitar kit. Except the floyd rose style bridge. Looking forward to that as a new experience. Plug and play connections. Nothing hard for me but the bridge, not a kit for a beginner builder.

  • Great Kit For The Price!
The kit was great for the price and my particular project turned out perfect. A few issues. Some holes were drilled a little off and I had one screw that was not manufactured properly and useless. Now, lets talk about the horrible wiring diagram. It stinks. I got through it because I have some wiring experience, but for God's sake, make it in color so people can figure out which wires go where. The video is useless. It runs a 1000x speed. Slow it down for people to use. I had to pause it over and over again to get the wiring done. All in all a good kit for the price. I'll definitely be buying more of them. ... show more

  • no instructions
instruction video way too fast. you would think making decent instructions would be the easy part. Got it together and it doesnt work. I had 2 rubber washers left over and no clue where they should go. This is NOT for beginners. A lot of work for no sound!
