    • A Marvelous Kit.
I am a miniaturist and build my own dollhouses and furniture and room boxes. A friend of mine put together this kit and when I saw it, I fell in love. It is absolutely beautiful. The instructions are very good, and the pictures speak a thousand assembly words. I love my kit. It took me about 20 hours to put it together. I am so impressed with the way the pieces fit together; they couldn't have been more precise. Kudos to the designer for a superb job. ... show more

    • OUTSTANDING KIT
My sister-in-law and I built this together. Super fun kit, instructions are clear (although since this was our first book nook, we missed the light testing at the beginning - that was our fault). Quality is outstanding. The most delicate pieces came with back-ups - we did accidentally break one piece and while we could have repaired it, we just used the back-up. Our lights did not work - and as I noted above, we did not test them before we began. The seller was SO responsive and sent a replacement kit. We loved it so much we purchased another kit so we could both have one. I wish I could rate this product and the seller higher. ... show more

    • Good with a few issues
The media could not be loaded. The good: The visual aesthetics are really excellent. The mirrors and working wall sconces really give the illusion of looking at a small part of a larger (miniature) library. The colors are rich and warm, and the accessories like the rose and hand mirror really give it a nice touch. This thing is also heavy and quite a bit more complex than other book nooks available, with a full 14 pieces of boards - most others only have 8-10 pieces. Having the glue with the precision tip included is also really great, so you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck with this one. The bad: There are some design issues. The columns on the left side became a nightmare because they're not pegged into a the floor and ceiling - you'd fit one part in and another would pop out. The shelves really need pegs or some way to snap into the rails; oftentimes they were just loosely resting on top of some books. I had to use a lot of tape and glue to keep the shelves held together, which created problems when I had to scoot books around to make room for the columns, as the instructions don't really make it clear how much room you need to leave. The table is also too big for the space, I would have preferred it if it was about 80% of the current size or built into one of the walls as a desk or something, and the chair is pretty wobby due to the design of the legs. Because of this I'd rate this project as intermediate to advanced difficulty. For those complaining about light issues: remember to test your lights before assembly, the instruction manual makes this very clear. I did not personally have any problems with this. ... show more

This was one of my favorite booknooks to build. Very well thought out and organized. LOVED the little lights and thin wiring. Instructions are clear and it came with it's own glue. Really good quality booknook.

This my first time putting together a book nook. I expected it wouldn’t be easy but I thought the manual would more detailed information.
