  • Very detailed

Lots of gluing for the books, very detailed. Daughter loves it!

  • Things are very small but the attention to detail is terrific.

I bought this for my daughter. She loves how detailed and delicate it is.

  • Good quality

I gave this as a gift , to someone who has done several book books. It took a few hours to complete. She says using a different hobby glue- not included- made things work better. She loved the end result

  • Fun but very, very delicate.
Style: Covenant Church
Overall this was a fun project. As careful as I was, many of the small pieces broke very easily. It would also be nice to have the light switch on the side or back so you don't have to pick the whole piece up to turn it on.

  • Fun Project and Beautiful Outcome
Style: Covenant Church
My mom bought this for my birthday and I absolutely loved working on it. The instructions were pretty easy to follow and although it did take some glue to keep things in place, I am very happy with the finished product. I love the music box feature and that it is motion activated. This was my first book nook project so if you are a novice, not to fear. So excited for my next project! ... show more

  • It’s okay
Style: Ancient Books
I have purchased a similar kit from an online source, so when I saw the price of this one I wasn’t expecting too much. Once I started I noticed the directions were pretty easy to follow (unlike the other kit). The quality and details are nice. My only complaint is with the quote in the outside. Complete miss. ... show more

  • Poorly planned and too much glueing
Style: Covenant Church
Most wooden models/puzzles we’ve put together are cleverly designed so that glue is rarely necessary. I often marvel at the careful planning. For this model, it is quite the opposite. The designers rely WAY too heavily on gluing delicate parts together, especially with very little surface area. And, the required glue ISN’T EVEN INCLUDED. The end product is pretty, but the build process is much more frustrating than fun. There’s also a lot of unnecessary work put into folding tiny pages that will never be seen in the final assembly. Why put paper in that envelopes that will never be opened, especially if the papers are meaningless (repeating the same page over and over)? I’d understand if there was some sort of meaning or mystery behind the imagery, but it’s just “filler”. I don’t get it. Many pieces splinter a bit when trying to remove them from the sheet, leaving chips in the paint. Lastly, the instructions are often vague since much of the model is glued instead of slotted together. You’ll often ask yourself “Seriously, I’m supposed to just glue this?” ... show more

This will be a lot of fun to put together and will be a cool little conversation piece once it’s done!
