The media could not be loaded. I have to admit my expectations weren't too high when I got this but after opening it up and playing with it, I LOVE IT! Now don't get me wrong, it's not a $200 remote control vehicle that goes 40mph but it is a fun remote control T-Rex that I love and that my 4 year old grandson loves even MORE! For the price, the vehicle is very good quality. The font and back bumpers are semi-soft plastic so when we have run into things, it hasn't been damaged. The tires are also semi-soft so it goes over things pretty easily. Has a good top speed.... and is very responsive to the remote when turning left or right. The turning radius is a little small but in an open area there's no problem. The BEST part is the lighted mouth, the T-Rex roar and the "smoke" (water mist) that comes out his mouth! That is really SO COOL! My grandson and I love it! There is a button to push on the remote to activate those and they stay on until you push the button again to shut them off. To have fog, all you have to do is add water in the top of the T-Rex's head. You simply remove the cap by just prying it up and it just slides out.... fill it with a small amount of water (they give you a little water bottle but you can just pour it straight in). Do be aware that if you turn the vehicle over to turn it on, the water leaks out ( I found out the hard way....no big deal though). Now you are ready for some cool looking "smoke!" The vehicle comes with two batteries. It does only take one to run the vehicle which is nice so that you can be charging the other one. I can't really say how long the batteries last... but we played with it for quite a while! The charger is simply a USB plug that you are provided with but you will need to have your own fob but any USB cell phone fob will work. I am a little disappointed that they didn't use just regular AA batteries to power the vehicle because when the two batteries finally die out (who knows how long that will be).... but you will have to buy replacements with that specific connector. The remote control is the only thing really lacking in quality and you will see what I mean when you get it. The control knobs are kind of cheap looking but they work great. It will be interesting to see how long they last but remember it only costs $25. You do have to provide the 2 AA batteries for it... but that's not a problem either. As I said before, overall my Grandson and I LOVE IT! For the money it's a GREAT VALUE! I recommend getting one.... especially if you have a young son or grandson! ... show more

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She was tormenting the cat within minutes! It does not come with batteries for the remote, so make sure you pick some up. It blows mist by adding water using the included squeeze bottle. The build quality is cheap, but it does seem sturdy enough to last for a while with normal play. ... show more

In the picture, you will see the vehicle in use and also see my dog exiting stage right. He wasn't sure whether to attack the vehicle or run from it (ha). The turning radius is a bit wide so you will either need a wide hallway or a room to drive this vehicle in and have it turn left or right completely. I very much like and appreciate the fact that the vehicle comes with two rechargeable batteries and not one. You can charge both and get an extended play time. Finding compatible batteries later is a royal pain because of the connectors used. This is a common problem for many RC toys and not a drawback for this particular vehicle. It just is. I did not try the water spray. I don't think the dog would have liked that, and I might have ended up with no RC vehicle. Both devices (remote, vehicle) have a slide switch that turns the device on and off. Once both are on, the vehicle responds to the remote. There is no pairing process like there is with some RC devices. This is advertised as suitable for ages 3+. I think a 3+ might be able to operate the vehicle but an older person will definitely be needed to maintain the vehicle. Here is why: Both battery compartments are screwed in. A screw driver is provided, but tiny fingers might have trouble with this. In addition to the screw, there is also a clip holding the battery compartment on the vehicle itself, so both need to be done to open up the compartment. Only a charging cable is provided, so the batteries will have to be charged using a computer or an AC charger that supports 5 volts. The end that plugs into the power source is an USB-A connector which is the wide USB plug that has been around forever. The charging cable has a light to indicate when the battery is charging and goes off when done. The battery connectors have a latch that locks it to the other cable that you are connecting to. A little toy car on steroids. When I got this toy I was looking for a fun gift for a little kid and this just seemed adorable. I figured it wouldn't do too much but for a child it would be a source of amusement for what little it provided. Instead I was treated to something truly cool that me and my child had a ball playing with and racing around. The car features a dinosaur as its main body and I thought that would simply be enough and that everyone would be happy with just that much. Instead we were shocked to find out that the dinosaur also lit up, roared, and blew 'smoke'. Honestly the jaws that dropped when we got it up and running made it a major success in my book just by itself. This being a 'modern' device the charging and battery isn't like it was when we were little kids. The truck itself runs on rechargeable batteries which is nice but the remote controller box requires standard batteries which don't come included with the product so be sure to have that on hand when you're ready to start it up. The car runs really nicely and was easy enough for a small child to eventually get the hang of maneuvering it around. Its made well for small children, it mostly bounces off walls when it hits them and doesn't take any damage. Makes fine turns well, recovers, and can handle climbing bumpy surfaces.
