I bought these for my 2nd grader cub scouts and they absolutely loved them! They were not easy to excavate the dino, which is exactly what we wanted. They were challenging but not too difficult that the kids lost interest. The enjoyed matching their Dino from the egg to the trading cards included in the kit. Good price for what you get. The Dinosaurs inside are cute, good detail and fun colored. My 2.5 year old loved the excitement of opening them, we broke it open in the water because it made it go faster. Outside is best because they do make a mess
