It hasn’t seem much rain yet so I can’t speak to how waterproof it is, but it has stayed soft and a beautiful color through daily use with dusty shoes. The product’s selling page combines 3 different sizes for this doormat, each size being available in 7 different colors so to be clear this review is for the 18” x 30” brown color with the paw print design. Note that each color has its own different design. The mat is describes as being “industrial” quality and that description is accurate. It is very heavy for its thickness and looks like it will last many years. This is not the extra-thick kind of outdoor boot wiping doormat but it is definitely not thin either. It is ideal for inside your entrance door to protect the floor from wet, muddy feet. For a location where the door opens over the mat a thinner mat is desirable as many doors would not be able to open over a thick mat. The 18”x 30” size is also the perfect size for an entrance door. The footprint design is a nice whimsical touch for pet owners but the selection of a nautical anchor, red crab, Fleur de Lis, moose or rooster assures a look that will fit in to almost any décor. I like that the mat is shipped flat in a large thin box so it lays flat immediately when taken out of the box, and I also like that it has no chemical smell to it like so many rubber/vinyl products sold today. When I ordered this I expected a nice utilitarian doormat and was pleasantly surprised that the quality is better than I expected for the price. With no negatives and a quality look and feel it earns 5-stars as something I will buy for myself and for gifts. ... show more

I decided to use an outdoor rug as a shower rug because the cheaper shower things just weren't made for water... they either absorb too much and just get moldy, or they don't absorb enough and the floor gets all wet. Also, many of the bathroom/shower rugs are shaggy and they just get smashed and look horrible. I figured, if a person can walk on these with wet muddy shoes, then they can withstand wet feet. Sure enough it is perfect. Absorbs just enough and the material is short enough that it dries quickly. There is no visible rubber bottom to this it is just naturally "sticky" and stays in place.... So I can't throw it in the washer to clean it... I vaccuum it and if it gets too dirty, I will spray it with a hose outside... so far, it isn't dirty... after all there is nothing touching it but wet feet, lol. Absolutely perfect. I will never buy a bathroom/shower/bath rug ever again! ... show more
