Just overpriced IPA and a sponge in cute packing. Not very effective. For 7 bucks I got 32 Oz IPA, a bottle of brasso and a box of qtips. I added pictures. The 1 up did nothing. The brasso and IPA for cleanup renewed the NES contact pins to shinny. Good gimick though. Only good for surface dust and why get this when rubbing alcohol, which this uses, is cheaper to buy at any store. ... show more

These are amazing! I buy a lot of old video games in bulk and enjoy cleaning them up and bringing them back to life. These are a game changer when it comes to cleaning retro videos as the process is fast, easy, and most importantly effective. Will buy off of them again in the near future, but if they lowered their price a little I would buy a lot more and more frequently. ... show more

These things are great. I don't know what these pads are made out of, but they scrub really well while being gentle at the same time. I have two small complaints though. First, the cards are just too thin and flimsy. They work fine, but I wish they were just a little thicker. Second is the "solution" is just 99% isopropyl alcohol. You can get a big bottle of that stuff anywhere. So I recommend just buying the cards and a separate bottle of 99% isopropyl. Still a great product though. ... show more

It was a dark and stormy night.. Really, it was. I had bought a Nintendo, and wanted to play some Bubble Bobble. Alas, the gray screen of doom prevented my girlfriend and my fun. Frantically, I ordered this, and waited... When it came, I tore through the packaging and furiously dripped some of the alcohol on one of the cleanings pads, and ran it along those pesky game contacts. Again and again, I cleaned the Nintendo games. It was finally time to try some Bubble Bobble... After a prayer to the Nintendo masters and a quick hymn of Zelda's theme song, I inserted the game and pushed the power button. Boom! It worked! Seriously, it's a nice kit. Not something you can't do with a Q-Tip and alcohol, but it works really well. ... show more

I have a collection of about 20 NES games, each with varying degrees of reliability. After using just ONE of these cards and a tiny bit of solution to clean all 20 - and taking apart the NES and giving the 72 pin connector a little TLC - every game boots on the first try, with no glitches or corruptions. This product is absolutely worth the price. If you frequent garage sales or eBay for cheap games, I'd almost even say it's a must-have. On a side note, I grew up with the NES, and I have to say it's almost surreal to pop a game in and play it without taking it out and reseating it like a million times. It's kinda part of the experience of using one of these old systems, but at the same time... it's a part of the experience I can definitely live without. ... show more

The cleaning patches work good, they fit perfectly in the cartridges. Only disappointment is the solution, all that it is isopropyl alcohol. Just buy the cleaning pads and save money on the overpriced solution.

Let's face it, Nintendo's NES is over 35 years old. Sometimes old things need to be cleaned! This combo does a great job cleaning the NES Games with just a little bit of time. I think it is a bit pricey in general, but it seems to last and is pretty good quality. I don't have any complaints other than the general cost being on the higher side. ... show more

I've never cleaned my game cartridges since I bought my SNES and N64 back in the early 90s. After unboxing them from a couple of years of no use I was having issues where I had to turn them on and off multiple times in order for the games to play. I used the cleaning solution by applying the alcohol compound to the rubbing side and then scrubbing for 10 seconds on each cartridge. Games start automatically now! Very pleased. ... show more
