I returned my Olympus recorder because I needed something a little smaller and thinner. This is VERY thin and very small. Solid looking, really looks extremely cool, feels of high quality, works very well, has incredible voice quality and clarity. The screen is easy to view and clear. This thing is great. Im not computer savvy and although this is probably very easy for a 25 year old to work flawlessly, it's just a slight bit challenging at first to negotiate the menus and I still can't quite figure out how to delete recordings.Again, this is easy to use overall. Recording something is very simply, one button to push. Stopping it is easy. Getting to save recording is easy. I was even able to connect it easily to my computer and transfer the recordings. I can't believe it actually worked. so easily to download. I accidentally deleted an important recording but I had it saved on my computer so I wasn't concerned. I just played the meeting on my computer and let it re-record on the recorder. Im not sure if I can move the recording from the computer back to the recorder via USB connector without just playing it on my computer out loud to re-record it to recorder. This is small enough to actually keep in my wallet to take to meetings if I need to record a meeting or seminar. Overall I love this thing and for the price it's a steal. You won't be disappointed even with the few minor negatives that some people might experience in the learning curved. A little practice and it is a great recorder.

What I like about the recorder device, it is a hand palm-size device. Very sleek & stylish, small but powerful in the palm of ur hand!! the digital voice is very clear & loud to hear with double microphone noise reduction for ur listening pleasure!! At first, when I got it, it was hard to use. I follow the instruction and still wasn't clear about how to use it. The instruction manual is not all that friendly on how to use the device if you are not a tech shabby person!! But lucky for me, I reach out through amazon review and got the help I needed. The company Reputation Specialist, Mr. Aleksey, from Produtech: Had to reach out to me through my email address and address his concern about the product. This representative took the time out of his busy schedule to write to me, hand by hand instruction of my device. It was very explainable in detail & simple to understand!! I thank this individual for solving my problem and giving me peace of mind!! This company shows me nothing but dedication & professionalism, going through my prosses with the matter. Produtech I recommend this company to anyone who looking for a good recorder device, they are very good people to do business with!! They really do care about ur business with their company!!!!

DOES NOT WORK! Won't even power on. I've tried charging for a long time though there is no indication if it got charged or not since the screen is completely dark, I've tried the hard power on and off, and soft power on and off. NOTHING works. It flickered for a second and the screen lit up but then died. UPDATED REVIEW: The first recorder I received did not work. But Dictopro was really quick to resolve the issue. Within minutes of my posting the above review, I got emails, calls/voicemail and a few text messages apologizing for the defective product. Once I reached out to them, they swiftly sent a replacement product. Customer service was very efficient (a little too persistent, but in the end, glad it worked out). The replacement product works, and I ordered two pieces in my original order - the other piece worked as well. The working recorder is great - works well even in high-noise surroundings, it's easy to transfer files to your computer as MP4 files. I would like to mention that this is the ONLY reasonably priced voice recorder that allows you to both charge and transfer files through the USB cord. I did a lot of research and most of the recorders, which were price under $70-$80 are only chargeable through AAA batteries, which makes them a huge pain to work with. This one both charges and transfers files through USB which is a big plus. There are some user-unfriendly quirks with this recorder, which make it a little hard to use -- like hard up-down button that needs to be used for everything, including changing the volume - the volume button is not a toggle, it's a straight button - you click on it and then adjust the volume with the up-down button. Also the up-down button is what you use to make selections on the screen-- so it's hard to tell what has been selected. The button just highlights the action you want, but you cannot always tell if said action has been selected. The screen is not very quick to respond, and sometimes it's hard to tell if the device is charging when it's plugged in because the screen doesn't always give an indication. Other than all these quirks, it's a decent recorder, especially for the price.

By first appearance it's a lot tinier than I actually thought it would be once I actually got it in my hand (but that's actually a plus for me with all the equipment I carry around). I was checking and testing it out I love the features on it, it's simplistic and easy to use (as a tech geek it's the easiest device I've found to operate without having to go into umpteen different menus and half the time devices shutting off on their own), the recordings are crystal clear and I love that it has the sound levels for the right and left side speakers should be neat to see it work in the paranormal field. plus it just looks awesome haha!! As you may have guessed I'm a paranormal investigator and was searching for a new digital recorder and this was one of the top ones recommended on a paranormal gear site form that I use. So I thought it was high time to upgrade my tape recorder to a digital recorder. I am very excited to use this on my next investigation in the fall! I will update my review once I use it in the field!
