Top Amazon Reviews

  • Worth The 5 Star Reviews!
Color: Brown
I carefully did comparison shopping as I searched for a practice keyboard or electric piano for home and I really doubted the five-star rating this electric piano had at this price point. I even requested the additional reviews from Amazon (which I find ridiculous to have to do in order to read them). After a solid night of practice, I can happily add my 5-star rating to them! There are some glitches (listed below) but they’re minor and I would quickly recommend this as an option for anyone looking for a beginner piano student, someone wanting something to practice at at home between lessons, or someone just wanting something to play on for fun at home and not invest a fortune, Pros: * came partially assembled. All I had to do was screw on the legs and one backboard. It took less than half an hour, and that was with me going slow slowly and meticulously in order to ensure I had it right.(see cons.) * sounds great! Does it sound as good as the grand piano I use at church? Absolutely not. Is the overall sound acceptable for a little home Piano? Absolutely. * all the keys play the correct note. * volume control allows you to turn it down and not blast out the walls. That was a huge place for me. * foot pedal is decent. Coming with one was actually a big selling point for me. This one only has one and it’s not perfect, but it gives you enough of the sound to practice. (see cons.) * beautiful wood. It’s pressed wood, but good quality pressed wood. As a bonus, it has an amazing wood smell right out of the box. I wish I could bottle that! * good size. It’s small enough not to be in the way and short enough not to stick too far out. It’s easy to store it right where you’ll use it. It’s also wide enough to move easily. * price point. I paid $157 (and actually used Amazon points for a lot of that). Nothing else I found was anywhere close to that for a decent product based on reviews. After hearing it, I’m really amazed. It’s that cheap. Cons: * instruction manual. Specifically the assembly pages. They’re pretty useless. I don’t use the other features so I can’t attest to them if they don’t look super informative either. * foot pedal plug does not match foot pedal outlet on the back. I was gathering stuff to call tech-support when my piano teacher tried plugging it in to the headphone jack and it worked though. For me, that’s not a big issue because I won’t be using the other outlets on the back, but be aware if you plan to use the connectors to your computer and headphones that the footpedal won’t work. Not sure why they would send one that does not match! See photos. * some keys don’t play the note unless you hit them just right. I’m adjusting to that but if you’re playing octaves, you do have to hit the key just right. Could be an issue for some. * book rest / score holder. The back rest is too short and the groove is not deep enough. I tried a few different piano. Books are varying sizes and shapes. Also musical score sheets. Mini won’t fit and those that do eventually slide down as you’re playing. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely a design flaw. It comes with a clip that help helped with the music sheets.— I just clipped them to a book that stayed up the best. Be aware that if you’re using books or sheet music, it’s not going to stay in place. Can’t attest to how well all the bells and whistles work, as I don’t plan to use them. I did try the metronome feature and it wasn’t the greatest so I just didn’t use it.. cord is adequately long if your flush against the wall. I didn’t have trouble finding an outlet it would reach. Comes with key stickers if needed and a beautiful cover that I probably will never use, as the piano will get frequent use and is beautiful! I don’t expect the price will stay this low for very long based on the quality of the product so if you’re considering it, I’d act quickly. This is an awesome deal for the money. ... show more

  • I made every mistake so you don’t have to (you’re welcome)
Color: Brown
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I made every mistake so you don't have to (you're welcome) THE INSTRUCTIONS: These are IKEA instructions, minus the dignity (or as much dignity as Swedish particleboard furniture can provide). No words. Just pictures. I am not that kind of builder… I am the kind of who ends up with legs where arms should be. The pictures were unclear to me, a grown adult, and I installed the legs in the wrong spot. Twice, spiritually. DO THIS INSTEAD: Ignore the instructions. They are lying to you. Do NOT install legs D & C first. Put A and B on first. Lay the keyboard keys-down on your work surface with the plug side facing away from you. Install A and B. I don't care what the manual says, the manual has never built anything. Then do D and C and the board that goes between them. Follow me, not the paper. THE TODDLER: I had my two-year-old "helping." I would definitely recommend sourcing a toddler for this if you have one available. I really liked that part. Two idiot dogs wandering around knocking things over is optional, but it was included in my package at no extra charge. THE SCREWDRIVER: It comes with a screwdriver. I am never prepared for building things, so I was genuinely delighted not to have to venture downstairs like some kind of pioneer. Now I have an extra screwdriver lying around. That's not a feature they advertise, but it should be. BUILD TIME: It took me until the end of the Katherine Parr song in the studio cast recording of Six to finish the whole thing, toddler included. So the official unit of measurement is 5.5 of Henry VIII’s wives. Roughly 33 minutes, or one full existential crisis. THE VERDICT: Should be a fairly easy build if you're anyone but me. It sounds good, and I really appreciate the super gaudy key cover that comes with it. It makes me feel so fancy. The piano is nice but the key cover is a lifestyle. ... show more

  • Such a nice piano
Color: Brown
I bought it one week ago. Use it for one week and then leave this review. I would say for such a price, this thing is a steal. It is a very well made and easily assembled digital piano. The sound is solid and clear, buttons on the control panel are easy to press. The keys are weighted and are more like a lightweight keyboard when pressed. It can be used both for amateurs and semi-advanced players. The design is sleek, when not played, it can be a nice decoration to have at home. In the box, it has a lot of accessories for beginners. I wish I have those when I bought my first keyboard. Overall I recommend it. Would come back later when I practice more. ... show more

  • Nice looking keyboard, but the sound effect interface could be better
Color: Apricot
I got the apricot color, and I was pleasantly surprised by the finish. I was not sure if “apricot” would look peachy or orange, but it is a light natural wood tone. It looks really nice in person. The piano structure is well built and has a furniture look. The keyboard comes with a removable music stand and clip, key stickers, a pedal, power adapter, and a purple dust cover. Setup was simple, and the keyboard looks nice once assembled. The MIDI connection worked well with my Windows computer. It uses a USB-B port, and I was able to use it in FreePiano without special drivers or setup. I did not notice any latency. The control interface for the sounds and effects was frustrating. There is no number input, so if you want to select one of the 800 sounds/effects, you have to scroll through them with the up/down buttons. The selected effect also does not seem to save after powering it off, so you have to find it again the next time. Most of the sounds outside of the first 100 or so also seemed odd or not very useful. Many played with a basic piano sound underneath instead of just playing the selected effect on its own. The key spacing feels a bit tight, and the action feels on the heavier side. It is playable, but I think a beginner may actually be better off with an older used keyboard that has a more useful control interface. For the money, it does include a lot: the keyboard, stand-style legs, pedal, music stand, key stickers, power adapter, and dust cover. It also looks much nicer than a basic portable keyboard. But the control interface and sound selection keep it from feeling like the best value if you care about using all the extra tones and effects. ... show more

  • Great Keyboard
Color: Brown
Better than expected. Sounds great. Looks expensive.

  • Amazing sound, easy, light weight exactly what I expected
Color: Black
I am extremely impressed with this 88 key semi weighted digital piano! The full size keyboard feels very close to a real acoustic piano, which makes it perfect for beginners who want an authentic playing experience without the high cost. The semi weighted keys have a nice, responsive feel, not too heavy, not too light, which makes practicing comfortable for longer sessions. The 800 tones and 600 rhythms are a huge bonus and make playing so much more fun and creative. I love being able to switch between different instrument sounds and experiment with rhythms. The built in dual speakers sound clear and powerful for a home setup, and the included pedal adds a realistic touch. The MIDI function is also a great feature if you want to connect to a computer for learning apps or recording. Speaking of recording, the recording function is super helpful for tracking progress and improving over time. Overall, this is an excellent electric piano for beginners or anyone looking for a versatile, affordable keyboard with lots of features. Highly recommend! 🎹 ... show more
