  • I have 4 of these, for a reason!
DigiRigs are absolutely the best sound card for radio control out there. They are tiny, work on ALL operating systems (windows, OSX, Linux) and they just work with any radio. If you are doing digital modes like FT8 or Winlink Vara, this is the tool you want. With RTS signaling, it keys the radio up and sends the data. Way easier and cheaper than a signalink. ... show more

  • One of the most simple, cost -price interfance in the market, if you can buy it , do it!
I bought this interface to test with my FT891.... I simply love this! Easy to install easy to carry due the size of the digirig. You can use the same interface with multiple known rigs (YAESU,ICOM,KENWOOD.USDX, ALINCO, ETC ETC ) And, you can use the same interface with multiple cables, so you can cover with a single digirig all the rigs of your shack. I really want to thank the good design of this interface and how easy is to use it! the first time I just took me 20min to assembled all with my FT891 and my Android tablet using FT8CN app to start FT8 contacts using FT891+DIGIRIG+ Android tablet. And today I tested using a phone! I simply love this product! maybe the Cons here is, digirig is not capable to coverage all radios in the market or at least with more than 30 years but, is expected due most of those rigs never had VOX or CAT control during their design, I will say is not a real Cons, is just simply you need to move on to a more recent rigs to use easily this interface. ... show more

  • Digirig works as promised. It's nicely made and the cables are of great quality. It's NICE.
The audio output is much too high for a computer (microphone) input. You can easily fix this by turning the microphone input to its minimum in the sound settings. Overall, this is a great product. There are no knobs to fiddle with. You configure the levels and keying in the operating system options. However, I do wish it had a red led to indicate when it is transmitting. That's just me, I can live without it. Very reliable and only as complicated as it needs to be. ... show more

  • Tiny, multifunction interface
For interfacing your radio to your computer there is no other interface as tiny nor as powerful. It does most of the work for you. Just follow the instructions available on their site and go. Very easy to follow instructions and it worked the first time. Highly recommended. Very few cables whereas others have cables running everywhere. Simply plug in the cable to the radio and a USB cable to your computer. Cables are not supplied so I recommend the cables for your specific radio available from Amazon for nominal price. These cables are specifically design for no EMI. ... show more

  • FT8 works with FT-891
I picked this up to work FT8 with my FT-891 when in the field. Liked the idea of the small size. Now you don't get CAT control (ie to change freq) but it will key the PTT. Was using a SignalLink with 3 cables. With this just one cable from computer to Digirig and one to the radio. I have used it twice in the field now and no problems so far ... show more
