These can be both a hearing aid amplifier or you can connect them to your phone or iPad and use them to listen to music or a show. They sound a little weird as hearing aids, they really amplify everything, but very nice as earbuds. The case also has a digital readout of the charge status. The case charges with an included USB C cable. Also included are extra rubber tips for your ears and a cleaning brush. The only weird thing I noticed was when trying to take a picture with them in my ears when my phone was in camera mode and near my ears the amplifier made a weird clicking noise. I don’t need hearing aids but I frequently need the volume up louder than my family likes so I thought I’d give these a try. They do a nice job of amplifying the sound so I can hear the dialogue better. I understand what they mean about your ears adjusting because when I first put them in EVERTYTHING was so loud! But after while, it improved. I’m still way louder and I can’t eat with them in because the chewing is really loud. You can even pair them with a phone or iPad to use as earbuds, though I haven’t tried them for that. I like these amplifying ear buds because they increase my ability to hear when being spoken to. I finally do not have to ask others to repeat themselves several times. These sound amplifiers are a little larger than others I've used but have the bonus of pairing with my phone for hands-free phone calls. My problem with these is the lack of clear instructions. The user manual appeared to have less use information than the Amazon site I ordered from.
