The full size mattress arrives as a tightly compressed roll inside a compact box that measures roughly 54" long and 12" x 12" in width and depth. The instructions suggest letting it air out and expand for several hours prior to use, but it was fine almost immediately. I've slept on it for several nights, and the feel is comfortable with medium support. But of course, that's highly subjective, especially since I tend to prefer a firmer (but not overly firm) mattress. The softness is most evident when sitting at the edges, though still is acceptable. This hybrid has both individual coils and fairly thick foam padding, so I don't feel the springs, which also do a good job of isolating movement to other parts of the bed. The fabric also seems to be good quality, and there were no squeaks or other annoying issues. That said, I'm guessing that this would be better for light duty usage, like a kid or guest bedroom. It doesn't have the heft of my primary mattress, and seems unlikely that it would hold up under heavy loads or daily use over many years. But for short-term use, it's an affordable option that offers a livelier feel than all-foam mattresses, yet sufficient padding to cushion the springs. When selecting a platform frame (and/or optional box spring), factor in the 12" thickness to ensure that the top sits at a good height off of the floor (approx 25"). So a platform bed should have slats that are 12" to 14" off the floor, or if using a box spring with metal frame, their combined height should be about 12" to 14".

The mattress is delivered in a king-size wide box. They include a cutter to help you safely slice open the vacuum packaging. Ours was full thickness within minutes, but they say give it 24 to 72 hours to completely decompress. Maybe that's needed for the thicker versions. We ordered the 12". Our current mattress has some life left but is getting a little up there in age so we ordered this hoping it would be a replacement. Unfortunately, this will be going in a guest bedroom instead. This is a cheaper build quality than our current, but it's also a less expensive mattress. That's not to say it's bad, but you can tell it's not the same quality. Don't go off their main picture in the listing. We ordered the 12", which when thinking about it you would know it's not very thick, but the picture they use for the main image is the same across all three thicknesses and makes it look deep. No big deal. Just know what you are ordering. The reason we aren't using it for our mattress is because it's too firm. We prefer something a little plusher on top with the support, but this support is stiff. It is definitely not the firmest mattress I've slept on, but just too firm for me. It feels great sitting on it. We tested it for about a week thinking we may get use to it, but we just prefer our old one. No pain. You just lay on top rather than any sink in. I don't want to be enveloped, but a little softer on top is our preference The "motion isolation" is good. No complaints. The edge holds up well as I'm a side sleeper who starts and ends on the edge of the bed. The only thing I can't speak to is how long it will hold up. Ultimately, if I liked a firmer mattress, this would absolutely replace my existing mattress, especially for the price (at the time of this writing $360). Hope that helps.

Personally, I don't find this mattress to be particularly firm, but it's not too soft either. I've only had it unwrapped and expanded for about 24 hours, so it will likely take a couple more days to be fully expanded, not that I feel it's going to feel drastically different. Two people are needed to move it, but the manufacturer only put handles on one side, which is better than none I supposed. For the record, it fits nicely in a metal bedframe that I purchased from the DIY Swedish Furniture superstore. Only time will tell how it holds up or if it sags, so if the product is still available, I will update at a later date.
