The latch easily comes undone and is annoying compared to a normal button. Everything else is very high quality & durability. If you can deal with the latch I would recommend these cargo shorts.

    • they're the best you can get
I don't know why Dickies makes such consistently solid clothes but these shorts are no exception. The sizing, in my experience, is accurate and the material is solid and built to last. The belt loops and cargo pockets seem to be double, if not triple, stitched. Doing what I do for a living (unloading trucks), I have to carry a lot of equipment in my pockets and there hasn't been a problem yet. These pockets hold up very well. The velcro that holds the cargo pockets together seem to be a low quality but that's just by comparison. Buttons would have been preferred but it took me ten minutes with zero sewing experience to but some buttons on the pockets to fix it.     • Best shorts I've ever bought
I've always had Quicksilver, Vans, Rusty, O'Neill, etc. Time to forget about the "popular" stuff and go for quality. These Dickies shorts are hardcore, heavy cotton, well made and comfortable. Oh, did I mention the fact that they are generally less than half the price of the other "popular name brands" and at least just as good of quality but likely better quality. As long as you get your waist size straight, you can't go wrong. I don't feel the need to ever buy any other pair of shorts now. Note to Dickies: maybe do a few more colors. I own all three available colors but would like maybe a few more options, like green or grey or even red. ... show more

Another quality Dickie's item. As a bigger man it's hard to find a pair of shorts that fit right that aren't athletic shorts. These filled that bill. Fit good easy to buckle because of the latch n hook instead of a button. And of course durable quality material.

    • The strength to stop bullets but designed for a non flexible robot
Very strong material and very durable but here are my issues with them. The pockets are at a super odd angle. You have to put items in your pocket sideways and from the back. The belt loops are way to small for any belt I own. I would rate defensive stats as +8 stab, +21 slash and +18 crush. I’m confident I could fend off knife attacks with these shorts it’s a shame about the pockets and belt loops. If you have a rough job like a in a junk yard or construction it’s worth the trade off. ... show more
