I’ve been feeding Diamond Naturals Adult Dog Beef Meal & Rice Formula to my adult dog and we’ve been really happy with it. The kibble looks good quality and I feel confident about the ingredients. My dog eats it enthusiastically every time, which is not always the case with other brands. His coat looks shiny and he seems to have good energy since we switched. Digestion has been good too. There haven’t been any issues with upset stomach or loose stools, which was something I noticed with a few other foods we tried in the past. The beef meal and rice combo seems to sit well with him. Portions are easy to measure and the bag lasts a solid amount of time. For the price, you get a lot of food that doesn’t feel like cheap fillers. Overall this formula has been a great everyday food for my dog and I’d recommend it to other dog owners who want a quality beef based kibble.

Diamond has always been a go to for my dogs. Currently, my 4-year-old female Newfypoo has a sensitive stomach, so I’m always careful about what I feed her. Diamond Naturals Adult Dry Dog Food Beef Meal and Rice Formula has been wonderful for her. She never gets sick from it, stays healthy, and absolutely loves the kibble. It’s been a great choice for her digestion and overall well-being. Highly recommend!

A starving young dog wandered into my yard on Feb 14. He could barely stand and was bones and skin. He was vomitting and defacating goo and mucus as he was full of worms. His eyes showed pleading for help. His smile was genuine. I certainly did not want a dog. People have been dumping animals or moving away leaving pets behind here. I didnt know anything about dog food and about grain and corn fillers. I just gave him some fresh eggs and rabbit meat from a farm mixed in some food I bought at the store till the Diamond Naturals food arrived. Then had him de-wormed by a vet. My bag of Diamond Naturals arrived. I shopped by price vs quality and chose it. He is nearly done with the first 40# bag. I went with the beef because it was cheapest. Its all he eats now with very few treats. I walk him at night after work and I am very pleased. Changed collars twice this month as his neck has quadrupled in size. He is a machine whom could probably out-play any dog on the planet. Im now the only one who can walk him because he is too strong for my wife and kids. His fur is thick and soft, his whiskers have tripled in length on his chin and face. He has grown from starving puppy to healthy dog in a month and a half. I certainly see no reason to change his food or reccomend any other food to anyone else. It is outstanding in every way. The ingredient list is stacked with good stuff. Rat Terrier Approved!! Quality ingredients, good price, heavy bag, no complaints!

Pros: - Good quality ingredients with limited grains - AAFCO approved - No corn, wheat, or soy - Attractive price on Amazon - Rat Terrier approved Cons: - None at the moment Personal Experience: I have a 27 pound Rat Terrier that enjoys the Diamond Naturals beef dog food. I have switched dog foods frequently over the years (I have always been careful to gradually ease the transition as to not upset his stomach) because he can be a rather pick eater when it comes to some dog foods. There have been dog foods I have tried in the past that are highly reviewed with excellent ingredients, but unfortunately probably didn't taste appetizing to my dog. For example, I tried Nature's Domain and some of the Science Diet brands but both were unappetizing to my dog. The cheaper dog foods seem to be appealing to my dog, likely because they use a lot of fat and other cheap ingredients that probably taste good to dogs. It reminds me of why I like cheap double cheese burgers from McDonalds... In any case, aside from my Rat Terrier liking this food, I always check dog foods I am interested in potentially purchasing against the free websites dogfoodadvisor and dogfoodinsider to get a more accurate analysis of the ingredients. Reviews on Amazon can be quite subjective and even the most knowledgeable dog-owners generally are not the absolute best experts on all the effects of each dog food ingredient. Hence why I use those two websites. Diamond Naturals dog food scored 3.5 stars on both of dog food review sites (which is a pretty good score). Conclusion: Quality dog food with good ingredients (confirmed through analysis by dogfoodadvisor and dogfoodinsider) and my Rat Terrier enjoys the food. It is well-priced on Amazon for the quality and amount. I definitely recommend this dog food.

My Dog Refuses to Give Me His Opinion

Hello, I’m James Brains with the Brains Report, and this is my review Diamond Naturals Dry Food for Adult Dog, Beef and Rice Formula. There are 3 main reasons why we like the Diamond Naturals Dry Food for Adult Dog, Beef and Rice Formula: 1. My Woof-Woof Eats It Up – I shovel out a couple scoops of this stuff for Ned each morning, and it’s all gone the next morning. The cats might be eating it. 2. It Doesn’t Make Him Sick – He rarely sicks up, and when he does, it’s because of the table scraps we gave him. 3. The Ingredients Are Healthy – No soy, no wheat, no corn. I should probably be eating this stuff. We bought this Diamond Naturals product because we have bought from DN for as long as I’ve joined this pet family. The pets seem to enjoy it and to be relatively healthy. We have one dog who does most of the eating. He’s a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who is between the ages of 12 and 14. I don’t know. I’m not a pet person. I’m assuming that he likes this product. He hasn’t said anything one way or the other about it. In fact, I cannot recall him ever talking to me. He leads a pretty boring life, and I’m an introvert, so I’ve never pursued a conversation with him. I tasted it, and it seemed fine. We purchased the 40-pound bag about a month ago, and there’s still about half of it left. So, it lasts. The last food we got for him was DN Lamb and Rice, but we must have gotten a bad bag because that had a bunch of pulverized kibble in it. There was no such issue with the Beef and Rice Formula. So, we may stick with this for a while unless the other becomes incredibly inexpensive. Anyway, I would recommend this to anyone with an adult dog. Great Product!!!

I've only been feeding this food to my dogs for a couple weeks now. I will change my review if anything changes, but so far this has been AMAZING. I was previously feeding my dogs Purina Dog Chow, I didn't realize how bad it actually was for them. Here's a rundown on my dogs, I have a 12 year old overweight Sheltie that is stubborn and refuses to do anything besides eat, sleep, and go to the bathroom. I have a 3 year old 1/4 Lab, 1/4 Golden Retriever, 1/2 Mutt mix who has the worst dog gas I've ever smelt, and his poop wasn't always solid like it should be. Then I have a 3 year old 1/2 rough German Shepherd 1/2 Lab mix who has long shaggy coarse hair (my other 2 have puppy soft hair). After digging in to what I could do for my lab/retriever mix as his gas was to the point where we just could not handle it anymore, and it wasn't the dogs fault at all by no means. And what we could do for my chunky Sheltie. We found that the food we were feeding them was so horrible for them and decided to switch to Diamond Naturals after my research as the food has great reviews and less than $1 per pound. In the couple weeks that I have been feeding my 3 fur babies this food their coats are noticeably softer, they actually don't eat as much as they were when we had them on Purina Dog Chow, and they are all more active. Before my 2 big dogs would play for a little bit and then get tired, they weren't acting like they should be for 3 year old dogs. Now they are more excited to get their exercise and act like a pup again. My Sheltie is already starting to lose weight. And the best part is my lab/retriever has not had any gas since we fully got them off of the dog chow, and he's having solid stool! I highly recommend purchasing this food just for the fact that it's good for your pet. I'm trying to get my friends/family that have pets to switch to some form of food that is not full of fillers. I've learned my lesson. I did find it at a store that's about half hour away for about the same price so if you can find it cheaper where you live go for it! But we're a minimum of half hour driving distance from any large town so the fact that Amazon has this and it's Prime is great for us!

High quality dog food for an insanely reasonable price

If you're looking at this dog food, you probably are choosing it because it's the most affordable 5 star grain free dog food out there. Please comment bellow if you find a better deal! To be honest, my dog prefers this food over Taste of the Wild. This food makes my extremely high energy Australian Cattle Dog manageable in terms of his energy level. He seems more content, better focused, and less rambunctious on this food. He loves the taste (we use the food as treats in his kong treat dispenser) and he has consistent stool, hunger, thirst, etc. The only dog food my dog likes more than this food is Canidae Element, which is 3 times the price of this food. We also tried the extreme athlete but it made my dog thirsty all of the time (more protein) and he was practically jumping off the walls. Get this if you have a high energy dog. If you're looking at this dog food, you probably are choosing it because it's the most affordable 5 star grain free dog food out there. Please commeellow if you find a better deal! Pros: Tastes great Grain Free High quality ingredients No wacky additives Great for dogs with allergies Consistent quality Cons: My dog's fur is thick, but he's shedding a bit unevenly. Fur is also not very shiny, bouncy, etc. it's more long and coarse. Not sure if that's due to the food or the decrease in exercise my dog gets. We used to bike 4 miles a day but we've only been going on hikes lately. I recommend this food to anyone who cares to give their dog a food quality ingredients, top of the shelf quality, while still saving money to spend elsewhere for our pooches.

My vet approved and this is great value

I am a physician and spent time researching dog food and allergies. I felt there was not a lot of evidence based studies behind the “grain free” foods that are much much more expensive. I decided to consult with our Vet who told us that “grain free” was essentially a gimmick and there was no evidence to support it. Furthermore, she explained and referenced studies that indicated that grain free dog foods were actually nutrient deficient and caused long term health problems. Upon further discussion, and, with my own research, it became clear that dog allergies have largely been blamed on food allergies. However, environmental allergies are much much more common as I expected. Our vet thus approved of us using this type of food. This was definitely the best value for sure. I bought different proteins for variety. The kibble was different sizes between the lamb and the beef. However, my puppy goes nuts for this food. In fact, he loved it so much that I was using it for training. He is an 8 month old pibble mix who is 40 lbs. I definitely will continue to use this. His stools have been regular and he is developing great. He did end up with allergies but again, we confirmed they were environmental and with the immune shot his allergies resolved. We are very satisfied and encourage people not to fall for the trap of “grain free”.
