I have used other hydration urine test strips from other brands. They all are similar and offer about the same features for about the same price. But, there are a few stand out brands who's products are a step above others. Diagnox hydration strip test kit, is a brand and product that stands out. The first thing I appreciate about these urine hydration test strips, is that they are individually sealed and packaged. You don't have to carry the entire package or a bottle of strips to take with you on the go or when you travel. The individual packs can fit in your pocket, wallet, bag and purse without being intrusive to space. It's very small and convenient to carry. The small packs are also self sufficient in that they not only contain a strip, but each sealed packaged contains a hydration level chart for you to match your results with. So, you have all that you need within each small individual packets. The other thing that stands out a little different than other brands, is the more variable scale of hydration level they use in their chart. They include borderline dehydration level markers, which makes your knowledge of your dehydration level more specific, so that you have an idea of how much more water you should intake. As to the accuracy of the testing strips, I compared the results of these strips to the results of another reliable brand of strips and the results were consistent. So, the strips are very accurate and reliable. I can't think of any downside to purchasing these strips. I live in a very warm climate which requires a lot of hydration, and I didn’t realize there was a test like this out there! I think this is particularly suited for those who live in very warm climates, or someone who works out a lot. I also think it would be good for elderly people who have a hard time keeping hydration at the right level. I’m a sucker for information and especially about how things are running in my own body 😜. You will want to pee in a cup of some kind and then dip the stick in it. There are 30 individual tests and it’s super easy to use and results show up right away. I would have been surprised if I would have been “under” hydrated as I drink lots of water throughout the day. Depending upon your own specific needs to test your hydration levels, this test seems to be a great tool for you to do that. ... show more

    • Seems incorrect first thing in the morning
I tested right before bed and it said I was dehydrated, which is correct. I tested again right when I woke up and it said I was overhydrated. The test showed a bright green color that is not present on the test result card. I assume this means overhydrated. This doesn't seem right if I was dehydrated the night before and didn't drink any water during the night. When I tested during the day, it gave results that were expected. The color on the test doesn't exactly match the color on the test result card. I don't recommend testing first thing in the morning, as the test seems inaccurate for that. The app is not really the best for this product, even though the app does support it. The app asks for which product you are using and this product is not listed. If the urinalysis product is chosen, specific gravity is one of the tests. The other tests needs to be removed from the settings before it will allow a test to be logged. ... show more

I like this brand and their objectives/values. These are super convenient, individually sealed, and easy to use. My only hesitation was there was a very slight difference in the printed colors for comparison between the instructions and the individual packets, which made me not 100% confident in my reading. ... show more

I'm not sure how I would double check the accuracy of this item but I've been using them to ensure I am ready to go before I donate blood or blood components. This is to make sure I donate faster than usual and also hopefully keep away from feeling sick at the end of donations.
