He really likes it! This is not a First Aid Kit - it is a Tactical Diagnosis kit. The things that it contains are important for a Tactical Medic to have, so he is really happy to have a kit that is his own. This is a nice little set to have around. I'm mostly interested in the tuning forks to check out some holistic techniques for muscle pain, but I'm not discarding the other items, because they're definitely useful. The Taylor hammer had my reflexes reacting and the tuning forks vibrating. I have ear problems, so the tuning forks are very useful for me. I was able to hear the pitches and compare ear to ear. I live in a rural area, so it always helps to have tools around to help diagnose problems and determine the urgency of an issue. The pen light with the pupil guage is handy in helping make the decision. Also, anyone that has ever changed wound dressing, the angled bandage scissors make a huge difference. Plus, there's less chance of stabbing the patient! The set is made of quality material and is neatly cased in a zippered carrying clutch. I'm excited to start trying some muscle vibrations! *the snell eye chart will fit if it's tucked under the plastic flap. ... show more

So, I got this for two purposes. The first, is to collect nurse stuff, for role-playing with your mom. The second, is because I'm a "Prepper", and this looked like something I'd want in a main med kit. It is. Love how it's all blacked out, instead of shiny/reflective. Major plus, in my book. If you're using medical supplies, there's a good chance you're in a dangerous environment, and shiny stuff just advertises your position to The Bad Guys. While you're focused on treating wounds or injuries, and you or someone else isn't at 100%. They're surprisingly light-weight, which is awesome. The tools are relatively well made and durable-looking. My only real gripe, is the carry case. I'd like it to be a little tougher. Maybe made out of Cordura. BUT, I will say that it's slightly above standard. I've seen so much worse, and it looks like they put a little more effort into it than the usual. And then, the price is decent for what you get. Love this diagnostic kit (aka tuning fork set), I definitely repurposed it to my needs. I was unaware that it had so many different tools, all of which I find very useful in one capacity or another. I love that the set is black matte, really cool. Items are made well from good metals; they feel strong and sturdy. My favorite is the tuning forks of course, love the vibration on the 128.
