  • What a difference, 2011 Escalade!!
WOW! Received this today, and after install all I can say is WOW! Download of updates before use was simple and free. Instructions were easy and software install was pretty quick. About 15 minutes from the beginning...saving my stock settings, turning off the AFM and selecting the software, then installing it. My vehicle requires 93 octane, but I installed the 87 or higher octane, just to see. Plus, I didn't really want to hit the top of the line right off the bat. Took my inital 30 minute drive and WOW is all I can say. Acceleration is instant, transmission shifts dead on and very smooth. And it stayed in v8 mode the entire time, which is what I wanted. I actually recorded a 2.5 mpg increase in city driving, ranging from 30mph to 60mph. So far, 5 stars! Great product, easy to use and it does what it says. Time will tell but so far I am very impressed and satisfied.! UPDATE: Sadly, within a week of having this product, I had to replace the catalytic converters on my vehicle. I decided on a reputable company. electing not to pay in excess of $2000.00 for GM. Contacting this company, I have received various answers about using it with the new converters...from it will be fine, it might throw a engine code, to use it if it throws a code then is wont work. Nothing on the website states that it requires GM converters. Im on the fence about using it now.....I dont want to damage anything....not getting a straight answer, I may be returning this. ... show more

I originally bought this for my 2008 Silverado. I put the 87 Perf tune in, and disabled the AFM. I gained fuel economy, and had a noticeable gain in performance. When it came to trade that, I returned it back to stock. Both tuning and de-tuning are very simple and quick. Now for a longer than necessary follow up story. After a year or so, I decided to try it in my 2006 Sierra winter rat/plow truck/farm truck. At first try, it did not seem to save the original settings, so I tried to do an update. The Update Agent could not find my tuner, though I could see it in my computer drives. I finally called support. They were very helpful, and after describing the situation, attributed my issue to my out-dated Windows7 OS, which I had also suspected. I used another computer, and everything worked fine. I still had a problem with it saving the factory settings, so I called again. They sent me a more extensive update, and told me to try it again. Same issue, so again I called. By using their Update Agent, they can see everything in the tuner, and assured me it all looked fine. He then suggested I stay on the phone and he would walk me through it doing the tune. I put the tune in, but still didn't see the stock saved. He the assured me that if anything went wrong, they have all kinds of stock settings on file, and it wouldn't be an issue. With all my calls, they were great! Very knowledgeable, and patient. Their product support is phenomenal! Especially for a product that I've had for 4 years. As far as how this tune went, it's only been 1 day, so tough to be sure. But on the 87 Perf, I seemed to have gained atleast a couple MPG. Again, great product, and awesome support! ... show more

  • Read this before spending money on transmission/engine repairs
I have a 2014 Sierra Denali with a 6.2 L engine. For the last couple of years I have dealt with odd transmission shift/surge. It was hard to tell what was actually occurring. It was as if it was confused on shift--especially 2nd to 3rd on the factory 6 speed transmission. It also felt like it was surging on accelerations and "clunked" on downshifts. I just felt like it was somehow in the programming---somehow a file maybe had become corrupted. So I took it to the GMC dealership. I asked him to re-flash the programming. He drove around the parking lot and said I needed a new 5000 dollar transmission. It was not bad enough for me to spend that kind of money yet. Besides I didnt totally buy that story. So I carried my GMC to the Chevrolet dealership. I asked him to re-flash the programming. He said it was 90 dollars. I agreed. In a few minutes he came back and said my truck was parked around front and ready to go. He said there was no charge because it had the latest version and they didnt do anything. (Noone listens to the customer anymore.) So after research I thought i would try the Predator. How could I go wrong? Amazon had the free returns on this unit. If it didnt work, I return the truck to stock and send it back. I decided to ONLY change to Economy Tune. The 6.2 already has 420 stock HP. (Im not sure my neck could handle any additional HP.) OMG!!!! What a miraculous change!!!!! For 350 dollars I have a BRAND NEW TRUCK. It totally fixed the issue!!! The supposedly "wore out" transmission shifts perfectly! No more surging! No more hunting gears! No more Clunking. It is a smooth perfect shift up and down. I actually believe it also it feels as if it has added some HP. Maybe just a more efficient shifting transmission computes to more HP. Also an added feature is that I am seeing an additional 3 MPG on the Denali computer. How long will it take to make up 350 dollars in that? I think I will box up my Predator and put it in a safe place. I will leave it as it is. Maybe I will drive it up to the GMC dealership and let the guy drive it. I will ask him how he likes my new transmission. Update a month later I decided to go in and turn off the 4 cyl mode deactivation. Wow that is better also. I did not realize but the engine shutters a little when going back and forthbetween V-8 and V-4. I was just use to it. It runs sooooooo much better and no noticeable difference in gas mpg. You can go into the display settings on the truck and you can watch it displayed whether it is V4 or V8. When it is changed, it will stay on V8. ... show more

  • Listen! Update.....Tech Support Saved The Day!
I saw a cheaper option when buying because this 1 was returned before, once used I guess it is paired to that vehicle. No good for Me 07 Chevy Suburban LTZ. Update; I had a Delete of the AFM System done so My Truck was altered from the Stock File the Scanner looks for so it wouldn't work for Me out of the box but Tech Support was able to get Me right with updates to My Computer. Very simple 👌 and Now......It's Working 💪 and I like it. Was able to get the 87 Performance Tune & turn AFM back off. Feels shifts and Performance is wayyyy better than stock! Yay!
