Times are tough and we can only afford a one bedroom apartment. I need that one bedroom for a nursery and so me and hubby decided on bunk beds to save space. I know most would find adults sleeping in bunk beds and separate beds as well as in the living room and dining room, and within a relationship weird but it works for us. I got a separate bunk bed for the dining room that has a dining set under it for me, this one is his. first off we bought this in just hopes that it was going to hold him without breaking. I’m not saying I recommend people do this but he weighs 50 pounds over the exceeded weight limit and it holds him fine, bars don’t even bend. Picture is of him sleeping in it for reference. It is plenty safe for your kids. The ladder is painful but we added pool noodles just like everyone else said to do and turned out great. You do need two pool noodles. It does shake but I feel that’s to be expected. It’s not horrible like some people were claiming. I would use double sided tape on some items you place on the shelves so they stay in place. Did take a bit to put together and a few times had to take apart and do again on a few of the poles. All the holes in the poles do get a bit confusing but other than that went together just fine. As adults using bunk beds. We do have to watch our heads, can’t fully sit up due to how high it is but allows more space underneath. There isn’t a cut out for the ladder in the railing but hasn’t been an issue but I could see where it would be for kids to have to climb over it. I had seen some people claiming the ladder is not where it is in the picture and idk where they’re getting that from. The ladder and bunk bed is just like the pictures, I’m thinking they put it together wrong. Also some people were saying the metal is paper thin and bends. We didn’t have that issue at all. If it was paper thin metal it wouldn’t hold even over it’s recommended weight limit. Over all was worth the money and time to put together. Very easy to setup! I bought 2 of these and one showed up with 8 pieces missing and the other one had a piece damaged. Reached out to the company with the information they gave and they sent the replacements probably quicker than the beds were originally sent. When the bed arrived the box looked a bit ragged out at the corners and with all the reviews mentioning how some of the parts were, damaged I was scared for a minute. However, me and my 7 year old daughter took out the pieces one by one and they were all in great condition.. The instructions were easy enough, but you can't be in a rush. Maybe take it as an opportunity or activity of bonding with whoever is helping you put it together. In My case, this was my daughter. There were times I needed her to hold up one end while I work on the other. She got a sturdy stooland did just that. I can't really say how long it took because I spent 5 minutes studying the pics and parts before each next move.. It is VERY important to use perspective when looking at the diagram because the positioning of the parts depend on the scope of your room. There were times I had to turn the page upside down to make sure I was matching the pieces correctly. My daughter loves her bed and gets straight out of bed to go to her online schooling with no bed in the background. It's the perfect setup for us. We got the silver/grey and it's such a neutral color it matches every the me a growing girl would want to explore. ... show more

We wanted to give our two girls that share a room their own space. Not only did it give them their own personal space it has opened up the rest of the room to play or hang out. We no longer need desks and bookshelves because it’s already apart of their area. I’m not entirely sure they’ve left their rooms today! The only thing is that the ladder does hurt their feet as the other reviews do say as well but we know we can creatively find a way to cushion the ladder. Definitely would buy again! ... show more

    • Worst ladder ever.

Was delivered quickly and thats about where the good part ends. I expected a bit more for the price. This should be priced closer to $250. Everything was packaged well and was easy to put together but....upon inspection one of the siderails was bent. No biggie it wasnt structural. I got it assembled and I'm not sure who thinks this is sturdy. It jiggles around and creaks when my 6 y/o goes up the ladder and is in bed. I deliver and put together furniture for a living and this is not sturdy furniture. It probably won't fall over but it sways around a bit causing anything on the shelves below to fall over and everything is tight! Also its hard to tell from a picture of it but it is very difficult to climb over the top rail and step down onto the ladder. Which is about 2ft down from the top rail especially for a child. There should be a cut out of the side rail. The rungs on the ladder seem sturdy enough but they are very small and hurt your feet. So my son has to wear shoes while on the ladder. Not exactly convenient for bed time.. Also due to the drop down to the ladder he is terrified to get out of the bed so I have to pick him up from 6 ft in the air and set him down every time he wants out of bed and anyone who wonders what that is like he's 90lbs... If I had it to do over again I would have bought a different bed plain and simple. I already discarded the packing and fully assembled or I would send it back. Waste of money. ... show more

My daughter (9 year old) loves it. I assembled it by myself, but I recommend having a partner because I won't lie to you, it was hell. Also, it is taller than most bunk beds. If you have a standard height, flat ceiling, this may not be ideal for you. We put the bed on the side of the room where the slope is the highest, so my daughter is able to climb in. If we put it on the other side of the room where the ceiling is the lowest, there's no way she could get in. Overall, good bed, very very sturdy. I have no safety concerns. Also, desk and shelves are very sturdy as well. I have never regretted buying this bed, and I waited awhile to leave this review. I bought the bed in October of 2021 (so, counting back from the date of this review, 7 months ago). It's still great. ... show more
