Got this because our kiddo was ready for a bigger bed, but we needed a lower bunk style with the dormers in our upstairs rooms. Not too crazy to assemble if you are mechanically inclined, but definitely easier with the proper drill vs any included wrench. We love the under bed height that allows for a toddler bed or platform twin as well. This is perfect for younger kiddos transitioning to a big bed when you want to create extra space for them to play too. The underneath is a perfect fort area. The slide is a total bonus! Just make sure that the layout works for your room because you can not change where you put the slide or ladder. Love the all white as well because it is so neutral. I looked at so many of these and this was the best value and set all together. So far so good! When our little guy outgrew his crib we were looking for a fun "big boy bed" that was a little different but didn't cost a fortune. This is it! Assembly took a little time, maybe 2 hours total, but it was relatively easy. I'd recommend an electric drill/driver to help screw in all of the bolts, there are a lot! The bed feels very sturdy, we used a 5" memory foam mattress on top and that leaves plenty of safety room for the rails above the mattress so we're not worried about him falling out (he's a little over 2 years old). He LOVES the slide, and climbing up the ladder to go to bed at night. We didn't experience any magical "sleeps through the night way better now" moments with the bed, but it is really fun and looks great. The rails under the mattress are close enough together that the mattress is very comfortable to lay on, you don't feel the rails through the mattress. The entire bed is metal. I wish the slide were some sort of fancy plastic instead. Being metal it's loud. Our little one like to scramble up the slide, and it creaks and moans very loudly every time. That's really the only negative thing about it. The slide is thin metal, and it's braced by the metal side rails, and some metal cross bars underneath, so the metal on metal action definitely let's you know it's there. I guess one other complainy might be that there is not much room underneath. For example our 2 year old can't walk under the bed, it's too tall. So it's still fun as a fort to play under, but it would have been a little better if it were a hair taller so he could walk under it. But besides those minor points, we love it, it's been a fantastic, well built bed that we plan on using for years. ... show more

I’m a 5’ tall woman and put this together myself in an hour and half, stopping to tend to kids in between. The instructions were clear, and the bed is sturdy. I chose a 5” thick mattress for the bunk, and I think that works really well with the size of the guard rails.

I really like this bed but there are a few cons as well. First, it is really heavy and well made but not very easy to take upstairs. It was pretty easy to install but nice to have another person for the bigger parts. It is extremely durable as well. My wife and I usually have to carefully get into it with our son at night to cuddle until he falls asleep but it holds us! (Over 300 lbs total) there's plenty of room underneath for him to play with toys or store things but not enough for an adult to stand up. This is nice because if he ever fell off of it he's not too high to get seriously injured. We set the bed up both with and without the slide and felt safe either way. The bed is a little noisy because of the metal parts but not loud enough to hear outside of the room. I would certainly buy it again if needed! ... show more

This was almost the easiest bed we’ve ever put together. The “spacers for the slats” at times needed hulk strength to snap into place. That’s the only complaint! It’s safe, sturdy, reinforced and it’s footprint makes sense for a small room. Our two boys both wanted top bunks after having bunk beds, this bed won out for our 4 year old. He loves it! The underside of the slide is reinforced to prevent buckling. The hand rails are great. It’s a good height for tucking in / changing sheets. I believe his play kitchen and Lego table will fit just fine under it Overall, well worth it. Very happy. Just have some gloves or a hammer handy to knock the slat spacers in, because it’s murder on the hands. ... show more
