The material never blew up to the thickness I expected. It stayed dense, and flat after removing from vacuum packaging. I've had it over a year. It gets worn easily, the spot I sit dips, and I keep having to flip, and rotate it so I can he comforted. It just feels cheaply made, and I'm going to not only replace it soon, but be very careful not to buy something cheap like this again. I slept over at someone's house once, who had one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept on, and I found out that bed was a futon, with a separate mattress that folds up. I was deeply disappointed by the quality and make of this futon. yes, 2 3-inch pieces of foam stuffed into a rough cushion cover. I gave it a week but it was both visually unimpressive as well as uncomfortable.
