As this is a SOLAR power device, a cloudy day will drastically reduce how fast the panels collect and transfer energy. same power station would have taken more than 3 hours to charge with clouds, tested the theory as clouds came in and the power station needed a little juice. I was on the hunt for a relatively cheap 100 watt panel to go with the small power station I picked up to keep electronics charged while camping (ToGo Power A350). The first one I tried, while a bit cheaper than the Dexpole, also exposed an interesting bug I was previously unaware of with MPPT charge controller devices. They seem to need a bit higher voltage coming in to be able to use the power. So when I connected the cheaper model up, in full sun, it would start at about 30 watts and within 60 seconds drop down to 12. The voltage just wasn't high enough for the MPPT controller to work (I found a YouTube video from HoboTech that had the same issue with RockPals and Bluetti). After spending a bit more for the Dexpole, it seems to work great. The power station maxes around 65 watts input, and I have no trouble achieving that with this panel. Overall, construction quality seems pretty good, the kickstands work well enough (would be nice if they had 2 angle settings), and the included equipment would fit a wide range of uses, from direct charging devices, to keeping a power station charged. The cord is also a decent length compared to some of the other cheapie panels, the above-referenced one which though a .5m cable length was sufficient. I'll have to see how this performs over time, but at first blush, I'd definitely recommend it as a good, cheaper (not cheapest) 100w portable panel. ... show more

First, and this should be a question for the vendor. Is there a set of instructions for these panels. I don't hink I got anything. How can I get the manual or instruction sheet. I got this kit with a Vipon coupon so the price was excellent. At that price, this is a good kit. The whole thing is quite light. I am sure it is well under 10 pounds. When folded it is compact and easy to store. This is good, but also a liability. The structure and especially the "legs" for setting the angle are flimsy. The charge controller is very light weight and appears as though it may not be very durable. The indicator lights on the controller are very dim and pretty much impossible to read outside. This and the frame allow the panels to sag more than I like when setup. All that considered, and at the price I paid, the kit is fine for the occasional charging of things like phones and tablets. The output from the panels directly should be able to charge most "Solar Generators". As long as you have the correct adapter. There are adapters included that cover most situations. I can't see how you could charge a 12 volt battery, without replacing the charge controller though. I got ~50% off with a coupon so that allows me to ignore some of the shortcomings. If you have a solar generator or just need to charge some USB devices, this kit could be a lifesaver in a power outage situation. If you need to charge 12 volt batteries, need something rugged, or need a more advance charge controller (MMPT), you probably want to look at something else.
