very durable, battery life was good enough for a work day, tested for 2yrs and no issues. Overall they sound good but compared to others they are a bit flat without a lot of punch. I've also tried the pro x2 (newer version of these) and they do sound fuller but they are bulky compared to these. using silicone tips the hearing protection is about the same unless you use the anc of the pro x2. overall if you don't need anc or a bit fuller sounding music these are a great option. ... show more

I got these because they were the only buds I could find that had button controls and not touch controls, plus I wanted something durable that I could sleep in/roll over onto. I loved them at first, but after only about 2-3 months the left bud started cutting out and quickly became essentially unusable. So disappointing because I really loved them and I thought that these headphones would hold up better. I still think for the price they're pretty decent, and I will occasionally still use the right bud. ... show more

The DeWalt Earbuds check all the right boxes in terms of fit, selection of silicone ear cones and they seem very well built and tough. The case may be as tough as the rest of the DeWalt line of tools, but I was not able to test that. The fit is fantastic and works perfectly for my ears. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with the sound or the noise reduction. I read the instructions and did everything it said, tried to download the DeWalt app, but for some reason it would not work for me. I don't know if I got a bad set, or all the headphones are like this. I am going to give it a 5 because it might have been a fluke, and so far, all the tools I have from DeWalt have performed flawlessly and I don't want to give a bad review based on one instance. ... show more

Ordered first set, and the earbuds worked individually and would not pair even with a factory reset. The second set I ordered worked and paired as they should. Sound great an fit great. Will update on durability as I will be using these for work an home. As of now they definitely seem to be worth the money.     • Most durable, and expensive, longest battery life, MEH-est earbuds I have ever purchased.

Are they durable? Absolutely. Does the battery life last a long time? Hell yes. Is it heavy? Hell no. Is the sound quality good? Okay, sure. Does it instantly connect? Yes, yes it does. Worst thing-WORST- thing about these earbuds is that the silicone buds are GAWD AWFUL. I'd rather use wax earplugs for eargonomics (hopefully one of the dads working construction will appreciate that pun. Not a dad but old enough to be one.) These things do NOT stay in my ears at all. The fit is terrible. The buds that are replaceable? Also terrible. This would be a five star review were it not for the fit of the buds (no matter how hard i shove tip in it just keeps wanting to flop back out.) The last thing that I absolutely ABHOR WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY OLD @$$ (id type out full cusswords but amazon wanna be ssuuuuper inclusive and stuff so i have to watch my mouth for the supposed children and mennonites who will be offended at my deplorable sailors mouth (even though marines curse more. unless it's doc, then he's just as much of a foul mouthed 03 as the rest of us. sorry, I'm rambling) is the automatic turn off function at the slightest movement of the these earphones. I've found the solution to "turning off" that function (aside from buying better earphones) and it's covering that little sensor near the silicone tips. Apparently that detects light and dark variations which determines when the auto-pause is activated. But yeah, this is my review of the most expensive Meh dewalt product and or earbud i have ever purchased on this website. Oh, and this is still too expensive. Look, if you're gonna charge me $80 bucks for this thing, GIMME THE OPTION OF TURNING THE AUTO-PAUSE OFF AND GIMME SOME SILICONE EAR BUD INSERT TIPS THAT WILL NOT FALL OUT WHEN IM WORKING, TURNING MY HEAD, LIGHTLY ADJUSTING MY HARD HAT AND OR EYE PROTECTION OR EVEN IF IM JUST CHANGING A SHIRT. $80 ISN'T THE PROBLEM, IT'S THE FACT THAT THERE ARE TERRIBLE THINGS HERE THAT CAN BE FIXED THAT WOULD JUSTIFY YOU CHARGING THE SAME AMOUNT AS A FULL TANK OF GAS WHEN I KNOW THAT IN ORDER TO TURN A PROFIT AND BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE BUSINESS ASPECT, YOU HAVE TO CHARGE A 30-40% MARK UP PRICE.
