After looking for waterproof Bluetooth Radio they all we're small And had sketchy reviews. I would normally never spend $200 on A job site radio, but I'm really glad I did. As soon as you pick it up you feel the quality. I have no doubt this thing could take a fall off an 8' ladder. It's a radio, It's a Bluetooth speaker, It's an amplifier and it's a battery charger. The unit is rechargeable with an internal battery and waterproof. The sound quality is amazing. It's loud enough for a job site and clear enough for a party. There is a 3 band equalizer and plenty of bass. The controls are simple and sturdy. I didn't even open the owner's manual. The cool stuff; * Solid and simple *Sounds great *Battery charger is integrated and closes with battery in it *Nicely balanced and has a nice handle * Sound comes from everywhere no matter how you set it down * Metal tab for locking it in place The bad; * It is heavy. You wouldn't really take this on a hike. As I said, it's well balanced and the handle is nice. It's not an issue for me because I wanted durability and quality. * The little storage compartment has 4 latches So it takes both hands or 4 fingers or 2 fingers twice to open it. Better than it coming open when you don't want it too I suppose. * DeWalt opted it for a wall wart designed with a thin cord going to a DC plug. I'm guessing it gets them past some regulation on the waterproof deal. A regular removable line cord would have been more durable and I question the little transformer's ability to operate the loud radio and charge a battery without getting hot. The thinner cord Is a little short and gets a little squirrely when you're putting it back in the storage compartment. Time will tell But I would guess that will be the 1st thing to fail. It did unplug from the radio on me once unintentionally. I've only had it for one day and I love it already. I didn't even mention the fact that it's designed for stackability with some other dewalt stuff. Product alone is outstanding. ... show more

Boom boom boom...love this stereo...this thing rocks it out...bass is great and powerful...and it just works and is simple to use, and will charge your battery when you're near power. Love it. UPDATE: I have now had this stereo for a few months...I use it primarily at a gym for my daughters softball workouts until they're able to get outside. This little stereo fills the gym with booming sound, great bass...really makes the workout more palatable for the girls...and I have gotten so many compliments on the way it sounds, the ability of it being battery powered, and the ease to connect to it via bluetooth. I stream pandora to it for several hours at a time. No one can believe that all the sound is coming from this little box...I have also begun to use it in the bed of my polaris ranger as I am outside doing work on my property. It slams around occasionally, but has held up well...I think that a few battle scars on it would give it some character. As others have said, it is heavy, but I have spent good $$ on MANY different bluetooth speakers, and have never been blown away...For $200 this is hands down the most reliable, capable, booming box I have ever seen. I would definitely purchase again, and again, and again. Update after 6 months of ownership: I do have two small complaints now...the first is that the battery becomes unseated randomly when it is standing up...I think that the repeated bass hits knock the battery from the proper connection....second is the storage locking mechanism/storage of the power cord...you really have to jam the power cord down in to the storage to get the storage cover to secure properly. Kind of annoying...but really, I am still in love with this stereo. It's been to many softball tournaments, and has gotten VERY dusty and keeps on keepin on... ... show more

There's nothing to not love here. I truly don't comprehend how this level of sound is produced by such a small item. The waterproof storage compartment on top is a great safe storage area for small valuables while working... It's tricky to learn and takes 2 hands to open-> things won't easily walk off. Some people are kinda stupid and uncoordinated thus see this as a negative, but for those of us intelligent enough to not drown in a bowl of soup, it's a combination safe on top of everything else. You can charge 5a batteries or smaller while you also charge your phone, all the while blaring bohemian rhapsody and knocking out some work. Place the speaker on a pair of empty 5gal buckets to get ridiculous bass out of it. I work outside and in the rain when the weather says it's time to rain. I don't cover the speaker and haven't yet... It's unaffected so far. This will still be easily heard going down the interstate with all the windows down and having trucks on both sides of you. Not quite a fast charger, but does seem faster than the regular black charger. If you listen to music everyday, and use dewalt tools, it's not very hard to justify the cost... The speakers alone are Bose quality if not better. Clear and powerful. 100% would buy again. Dewalt knocked it out of the stadium with this one. ... show more
