    • Almost didn't buy it!
After looking for waterproof Bluetooth Radio they all we're small And had sketchy reviews. I would normally never spend $200 on A job site radio, but I'm really glad I did. As soon as you pick it up you feel the quality. I have no doubt this thing could take a fall off an 8' ladder. It's a radio, It's a Bluetooth speaker, It's an amplifier and it's a battery charger. The unit is rechargeable with an internal battery and waterproof. The sound quality is amazing. It's loud enough for a job site and clear enough for a party. There is a 3 band equalizer and plenty of bass. The controls are simple and sturdy. I didn't even open the owner's manual. The cool stuff; * Solid and simple *Sounds great *Battery charger is integrated and closes with battery in it *Nicely balanced and has a nice handle * Sound comes from everywhere no matter how you set it down * Metal tab for locking it in place The bad; * It is heavy. You wouldn't really take this on a hike. As I said, it's well balanced and the handle is nice. It's not an issue for me because I wanted durability and quality. * The little storage compartment has 4 latches So it takes both hands or 4 fingers or 2 fingers twice to open it. Better than it coming open when you don't want it too I suppose. * DeWalt opted it for a wall wart designed with a thin cord going to a DC plug. I'm guessing it gets them past some regulation on the waterproof deal. A regular removable line cord would have been more durable and I question the little transformer's ability to operate the loud radio and charge a battery without getting hot. The thinner cord Is a little short and gets a little squirrely when you're putting it back in the storage compartment. Time will tell But I would guess that will be the 1st thing to fail. It did unplug from the radio on me once unintentionally. I've only had it for one day and I love it already. I didn't even mention the fact that it's designed for stackability with some other dewalt stuff. Product alone is outstanding. ... show more

I first heard the quality of the DeWalt T-stak on a jobsite a number of years ago. I could tell it was made well and the bass resonated to where I was working on the other end of the space. Now having one of my own, all I can say is, wow!!! The sound quality and added subwoofer makes the T-stak the best Bluetooth speaker I've ever owned. It will run off a single DeWalt battery or can be plugged in. While plugged in, it will charge any DeWalt (or DeWalt knock-off) battery you have. It was priced around $400 for quite some time and I finally picked one up when the price dropped to $200. All I can say is that it's worth every penny.     • It's a great radio, but...
I have owned and used this 5 days a week for about two years. It works, 0 issues with it. This is a good music system. It's plenty loud, the loudest radio on the jobsite, so I always win radio wars. I usually listen to it at 55% of volume, and can hear it everywhere in the home I'm working in. Great sound quality, at full volume, the sound quality is unchanged. It gets 4 stars because of a few reasons, while it's a great music system, a few things about it are designed poorly. The battery does not latch when installed, which means when you pick up the radio as a suitcase, the battery slides off just slightly off the connection and you lose power. Why doesn't it latch on like on all tools? I just super glued a plastic tab so it latches, problem fixed, but for the money, I shouldn't have to engineer on this thing. The power cable just straight up sucks, no idea why it couldn't have a regular power cable. The Bluetooth works, but not at the range listed, specially if there's a brick wall between you and the radio. Most cellphones don't fit inside the phone compartment, no idea why the compartment is so oddly shaped, but can't fit most smart phones. When you put a dead battery in it and try to use it as a charger, sometimes it doesn't charge if the battery is too low, and even when it does charge, it takes it hours to fully charge a 4 amp battery. I was hoping I could use it as a charger and just leave my actual charger in the truck as a back up, but nope, this is unreliable as a charger. ... show more

    • So good I bought another one!
So I first bought this exact radio about 3 years ago, the sounds quality is great and doesn’t deteriorate with volume, could set this one the first floor and easily rock out on the second. I’m a general contractor, I used and abused this radio almost everyday for those three years, the only issue I had was one of the leads for the power plug needed re-soldered to the board inside the radio and it was my fault since I tugged on the power line. The Bluetooth range is great and always immediately connected to my phone. The sound does get better when the radio is plugged in, but still sounds great on battery only. About 2 weeks ago someone had broken into my work truck and taken this radio. I was this pretty heartbroken since I was under the impression they didn’t manufacture this radio anymore, but when I found on Amazon I was elated and bought one immediately it to replace it. ... show more

I own Dewalt everything. Having said that, this is a real nice job radio for $300 bucks. The charger won't except my larger batteries and you can only charge 1 small battery at a time....very nice job radio. My fault, I should have read the information better.
