  • These are quality made
The instructions are easy and the foam has good density this fits certain tstack cases perfectly compared to other versions that are basically square and you have to do more work to fit them plus those others are more spongy compared to these.

  • Perfect fit for DeWalt Tstak cases!
These foams complete their compatible cases. Its a great kit when used together and perfect protection for your valued tools. The foam has five layers where the bottom two are solid and the top 3 precut and easy to get out according your plan for the tools. I just used a long blade which can cut through the top 3 layers. You need to do some cuts if you want a snug fit. Once your tools are in the will not move any where. Will order another foam and case for my batteries. Great solution for being organized. ... show more

  • hmm could be better but it does what it does.
I don't have Dewalt stack? or whatever they call, but I got this for the Craftsman versastack? the red one not the larger one for pros, but for weekend DIYer like myself set. Works fine (since both are the same but different color) This fills about 75% of the depth of the black part of the case (with the base liner in) it has 3 layers of "cut outable" (if i remember correctly) section. but those are fused pretty strongly so no you cannot really make the curved look. (unless you use other tools than your finger or ruler to dissociate each section, like myself) Foam density is pretty heavy and does not give in too easy. It does not fit for the Base (with wheels) but will fit anything after that (except drawer unit and tiny bento box divider one) if the tool is too thick like my 1/2 mid-high range impact, you have to remove (or shave off) the bottom piece to fit the tool. I tried to squish all but lid's structural support beams interfere with the tool so I just removed and put the tiny (otherwise discarded) cutouts to support the weight under, and top where lid and tools come in contact. works well and seems durable enough. ... show more

  • Create a perfect carrying case for your tools
This is a review of the foam insert for the Dewalt TStak II storage system. I used my insert in the Dewalt DWST17807 Flat Top box. The insert fits the above box perfectly - snug! The insert is made up of six separate layers of foam. The bottom two are glued together. The top four are also glued together but are scored all the way through in a squared pattern, making it very easy to remove small blocks of foam to create profiled cutouts for tools etc. The top four layers are lightly attached to the bottom two non-scored layers. Using a sharp knife it’s very easy to cut irregular shapes in the foam. Attached you can see that I was able to create a secure storage for the Ridgid 12v JobMax tool and all the attachments. If you don’t have all attachments you could cut a profile for the battery charger too, but I prefer to keep all chargers togther in a different case. Overall an excellent product. ... show more

  • Great product
Great fit, drill, charger and batteries have a snug fit as long as you trace your tool properly before cutting. Use a long straight blade to cut all the way through it works perfectly. I watched a video made the job so much easier. I love this foam insert. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

  • Works well for my use.
I used this item in the DEWALT DWST17807 TSTAK II Flat Top Toolbox and it fits snuggly, as it should. It takes some time to plan the layout and what items to put in the box so you'll know which foam plugs to remove. Be aware that this foam insert only fits some Tstak boxes, check before ordering. IT DOES NOT FIT a DEWALT DWST17806 TSTAK VI Deep Box. Looks like it should, but, it doesn't, I tried. The bottom of the DEWALT DWST17806 TSTAK VI Deep Box appears to be smaller than the 17807 and there are tray supports near the top of the box. ... show more

  • Cheaper than Kaizen
I bought these after trying Kaizen foam products, the results are a mixed bag. PROS: 1. Its cheaper than Kaizen 2. Its easier to remove, especially if you just remove in squares 3. Fit is great for Dewalt T-stak AND Craftsman CONS: 1. Not as thick or tall as it should be 2. Removeable layers aren't fully adhered to the bottom layer. Removing a tool lifts the surrounding foam 3. Should only be 1 bottom layer and 5 removable layers, not 2 bottom and 3 removable. 4. If you decide to cut curvilinear shapes, some small edges may inadvertently detach as well. 5. Foam is not as tough as Kaizen foam, questionable durability. Here is what I did to try and overcome some of these issues: 1. After cutting out the shapes for the tools, I cut the top removable layers off the bottom cushion layers with the utility knife. Easy to do as they are only attached at the corners. I then covered the inside edges of the tool shapes with masking tape and applied spray adhesive all over the bottom of the foam piece that will hold the tools. I then firmly attached the top section to the bottom section and removed the masking tape. Foam now stays put when removing a tool. 2. The Dewalt Tstak case is identical to the Craftsman case available at Lowes, and the Craftsman case is even cheaper. But the best part is that the underside of the Craftsman lid has rectangular ribs for rigidity, and they make a perfect place to stick some of the left over cut out foam blocks. This prevents tools from coming loose inside the toolbox if its turned upside down. Check out the photo. ... show more
