    • Greasing tractor pins.
I am so tired of having to grease tractor pins after a long, hard days use, just to find the pin clogged and it will not accept grease from my lever handle grease pump. For the past years, I would remove the pin (which can be a pain), clear the center pin hole with a drill bit, attach the manual pump and squeeze until it unplugs. Then having to reassemble everything. What a chore. Finally, I decided to get a DeWalt 20V MAX grease gun with 2 speeds. While greasing those pins, I came across yet another stubborn pin. After about two clicks, some grease came out at the zerk, but it pushed that plug right on out. Easy greasing. One pin was really stubborn after about 5 clicks of the gun. I kicked her up into the 2nd speed. BOOM! The clog didn't stand a chance. The pin accepted the grease practically right away. Now, would it have accepted grease in the 1st speed? I do not know. But the 2nd speed came through with power and pushed that clog right on out. What a time saver. No more having to drop the bucket just so the pins would lineup for disassembly and reassembly. CONS: The grease coupler is the type that pushes and snaps on. Good luck taking it off without ripping the zerk in two, especially dealing with recessed zerks. Purchase one of those lever activated locking grease couplers that can withstand 10K psi. You will be glad you did. Last con, after pulling the plunger handle to refill the grease tube, forget about storing the gun back into its case. The plungers T-handle protrudes out the side and the case will not close.
