I bought this one after my last one died after 15 years of hard use. The DeWalt folks said it would be 6 to 8 weeks for it to be rebuilt. 3 weeks later they sent me a new one. I sold that one for $500. I’m happy to have the stand. Nice to be able to roll it around. Before I would pick it up and carry it to a shelf. I’m getting to old for that. ... show more

I was worried this would not do the job. I was taking 1 inch board down a half inch. There was a issue with kicking my 30 amp breaker with a 10 gauge cord , 25ft cord pretty frequently if you tried to take more than a 1/16 off. These were Hickory, Pine boards. I was impressed overall

Awesome planer. I have mostly used to plane spalted oak to thickness after being rough cut from log on bandsaw. I have had very little tear- out and absolutely no snipe. It produces a very nice surface. Chip ejection works great with just a dust bag attached with no vacuum.
