The planar came with a stripped screw for the outer casing. Luckily it is only a cosmetic defect. So far it has done well with planing but you do have to take it nice a slow with small cuts each pass.

    • Necessity for any wood shop
I use this tool as much as I use my table saw and miter saw. Almost all wood especially 2x4's go through for each project. The combo adds great value with $50 off for the blades.

    • The little planer that could
I have owned this planer for a few years. I have planed probably close to 3000 board feet with it. Some of that is very hard wood or wood with a lot of knots. In that time I have replaced the motor, 2 sprockets, 2 roller bushings and a chain. That’s not counting the 4 sets of blades I’ve gone through. That might sound like a lot but i promise I have pushed this thing to do way more than it should. Fortunately I have a much bigger planer now but still use this one from time to time.
