We purchased this to cut decorative landscape blocks for a retaining wall. We were so surprised at how easy this cut through the blocks. We were able to angle and rounded cuts as well. I am not sure why there is a problem with creating dust, you are cutting concrete blocks...there will be dust. We were outside and the dust was easily managed. We also used this to repair a crack in our basement wall. We had to open the opening a little. Yes there as dust, my wife kept a shop vac near the cutting and it kept it at a minimum.
