  • Quality and value plus Customer Support
Style: Brad Nailer 20V 2 Batteries
UPDATE: After speaking with the Customer Support, they replaced my defective item very painlessly. I appreciate CS like this, and I have upgraded my review to 5 stars, mainly because I love this nail gun, and secondly because of the superb CS I received!!! Thank youfor the replacement!!! -------------------------------------- I purchased this nailer in August of 2024, but never used it until recently. I LOVE the gun, but it has a major flaw, in that it will not allow me to adjust the nail depth. The rotating adjuster does NOT rotate, like it is just frozen. I have contacted the seller to see if they will resolve this, and if their Customer Support is satisfactory, I will definitely come back and update this review. Until then, I would not recommend this item as a good quality purchase. I am hoping their CS will resolve the issue, mainly by swapping out the nail gun for a working unit. ... show more

  • This is an awesome nailer / stapler! Then it wasn't. It became very dangerous.
Style: Brad Nailer 20V 2 Batteries
The media could not be loaded. Update: I bought another one of these because the first one worked so well. The second one worked for a few hours then when I went to replace the battery I smelled burning electronics. I yanked the battery out and the smell stopped. I put the battery back in and it seemed fine but when I pulled the trigger only the light would come on. The gun wouldn't fire. I removed the battery and tried another, known good battery and the gun began constantly firing. It completely ignores the trigger and the safety tip and just fires constantly. I'll include a video showing the problem. Apparently the second battery it came with was defective and when I attached it to the staple gun it burned out parts of the staple gun. So I got one that works fine and one that is clearly defective. I'm returning the clearly broken one. ---------- I have the DeWalt 18 gauge brad nailer, but it won't shoot staples. I went to use my pneumatic nailer / stapler the other day and it had broken. The little safety mechanism wouldn't depress all the way in. so the gun wouldn't fire. I went online to buy a new pneumatic nailer / stapler and saw this. I have two other Kimo tools. The 1/2" impact and the 3/8" ratchet. They are both very good, reliable tools, so I went ahead and bought this too. After setting it up I am very impressed with it! My DeWalt uses angled 18 gauge brad nails that are a little harder to find than the straight ones and a little more expensive. The DeWalt also will not fire staples. Just brad nails. This Kimo uses the more common straight brad nails and standard 18 gauge staples and it functions better than the Dewalt too. The DeWalt takes longer to "spin up" than this Kimo does, and its louder than the Kimo. Both the DeWalt and the Kimo have a built-in soft tip, that you can't lose. That's nice. A friend of mine has a porter cable that uses little replaceable plastic soft tips. he is always losing them and they are not cheap to replace. The Kimo's is built in and cannot be lost. That's a big bonus. When you are installing cabinets with a fine paint job on them, losing the dang soft tip is very annoying. I am thinking of selling my DeWalt and just using this Kimo for everything. Kimo tools are great. They are offered at great prices and I have never experienced a quality issue with any of them. I am a Kimo fan now with three of their tools in my arsenal. ... show more

First one that was shipped was damaged and Amazon quickly shipped a replacement. Have not got to use it yet but I am disappointed that it doesn’t fit in the bag that came with it. After pulling and tugging on the zipper it is tightly wedged in just waiting for the zipper to break!!

  • Negative poor results from buying from Kino company
Style: Brad Nailer 20V 2 Batteries
I purchased a Kino nail gun in Jul of last year. I don’t have to use it much but t’his year I had a little project I was working on. I used about a half a dozen or a dozen nails when it jammed on me. So I did what was recommended and unjammed the nail gun. Well, after I unjammed it, it didn’t work as it should, in fact the nail gun went into an auto mode and kept firing and wouldn’t stop. So I contacted the Kino company and they ask me to send then my receipts when I purchased it and a video of how it was acting, so I did all that. They claim they sent me a replacement but I never received it, we have a post office box and they claim they never got it, we purchased it through Amazon and they told me to get back with Kino company. I’ve sent twelve emails to them and they have not answered any of them. The Kino company has my money for the nail gun but I don’t have my money back or the nail gun. Buyers beware if you purchase any product from this Kino company. ... show more

  • Doesn't last as long as wished and Cust Service is deceiving
Style: Brad Nailer 20V 2 Batteries
Purchased 9/22, used it once in a while, nothing intense. Went to use it the other day, wouldn't drive 1" nail or staple all the way, left 3/8" above wood. Checked depth adjustment. Charged battery, tried diff battery, cleaned and lubed drive mechanism, no change. Emailed support, no response. Nagged them, they referred me to after sales. No response from after sales. Update 1/18/24, Customer support states that 3/4" soft pine is too thick/hard for a 1" staple, even though the description states 3/4"-1 5/8" staple use. As per support: "Due to the thickness of certain wooden boards and special materials, nail guns may not be able to fully penetrate. The nail gun has no malfunctions, you can try using wooden boards made of other materials." Even though it's driven 1" staples. easily in the past, apparently I was just lucky to get it to work before. ... show more
