  • This is an awesome nailer / stapler!
Style: 9418A
I have the DeWalt 18 gauge brad nailer, but it won't shoot staples. I went to use my pneumatic nailer / stapler the other day and it had broken. The little safety mechanism wouldn't depress all the way in. so the gun wouldn't fire. I went online to buy a new pneumatic nailer / stapler and saw this. I have two other Kimo tools. The 1/2" impact and the 3/8" ratchet. They are both very good, reliable tools, so I went ahead and bought this too. After setting it up I am very impressed with it! My DeWalt uses angled 18 gauge brad nails that are a little harder to find than the straight ones and a little more expensive. The DeWalt also will not fire staples. Just brad nails. This Kimo uses the more common straight brad nails and standard 18 gauge staples and it functions better than the Dewalt too. The DeWalt takes longer to "spin up" than this Kimo does, and its louder than the Kimo. Both the DeWalt and the Kimo have a built-in soft tip, that you can't lose. That's nice. A friend of mine has a porter cable that uses little replaceable plastic soft tips. he is always losing them and they are not cheap to replace. The Kimo's is built in and cannot be lost. That's a big bonus. When you are installing cabinets with a fine paint job on them, losing the dang soft tip is very annoying. I am thinking of selling my DeWalt and just using this Kimo for everything. Kimo tools are great. They are offered at great prices and I have never experienced a quality issue with any of them. I am a Kimo fan now with three of their tools in my arsenal. ... show more

  • Good for low use applications
Style: 9418A
Building a new house. Device failed after about two weeks of general use. Probably a good wood working shop tool. Not recommended for daily use.

  • Great so far!
Style: 9418A
I am not a builder and no construction background. Bought this specifically for one project and worked perfectly. Easy to use right out of the box with a quick charge of the batteries. Nails drove in as they should. Only time they didn’t was when I moved too quickly or wasn’t holding the nailer level. Went through about 6 strips of nails on this project on one battery charge. For the average person doing diy at home this is perfect. No idea if how it would perform in everyday use but it’s a great start. ... show more

  • Unit not working and email support has repeatedly asked for more video/photo
Style: 9418A
The media could not be loaded. After reading the mostly positive reviews of this nailer, I decided to purchase for indoor projects, mainly new shoe/trim in a few rooms. I had not opened the box until I gathered all necessary materials to do all projects so unfortunately I was past the 30 day return window on this product - otherwise I definitely would have sent it back. This is a beyond frustrating problem. Fully charged battery, inserted supplied nails - does not fire, with "no nail" green light constantly illuminated. Oddly enough I go outside to see if for some reason the angle that I was using it was getting in the way, and it fired three nails. I return inside, no dice. Okay, so I try firing a nail on a flat surface inside, still no - green light "no nail" remains on. I start noticing that as soon as I cross the outside door threshold the light turns off and can fire a nail. Maddening! After going back and forth several times, and opening the head and making sure there isn't a jam, recharging batteries - I give up. The video attached is the most bizarre issue I've had with a tool ever. After 5 test nails outside it no longer fires at all regardless of location. Is this a lemon? I've seen some other reviews mentioning not firing issues and that customer support was able to replace the product with a functioning one, so I emailed them and have now recieved an email 2x asking for a video/photo of the problem. After sending this video and a similar thorough description of the issue, it feels like I'm going around in circles with customer support. Please reach out and correct this issue, I feel like this was a total waste of money to this point. I got a lemon. ... show more
