I used the drill for the first time I like how strong the drill is as it is so powerful . Like how you can tell when the drill bit is locked into place , also like the keyless chuck. Did not use the drill for hours . So due not know how the battery life is for now . I do like the drill has a battery recharger and a additional battery, also that it is a lot more Quieter when drilling. You can tell the difference between brushless and one that is not. The sound is different. You do not feel as much vibration on drilling .This drill is great so far. But you can make the drill a little less heavy to handle . And a indicator to show battery life when in use . This way you would know when to change out the battery to recharge And make the recharger cordless that would be nice and make the recharger rechargeable with ups ports and Bluetooth ... show more

I got this drill as a replacement for my Makita drill. I had Makita for more than 5 years. And it is still doing great. I just would say that I think the Dewalt drill is new, and have two batteries that last longer. On the Makita drill, I have only two drilling speeds 1 and 2. Dewalt gives me 3 And I like the case and mountable drill holder. It also feels like the Dewalt drill is drilling faster through concrete. Maybe because it is new or it has a stronger motor and a better battery. So far I like it. ... show more

    • Bought to use with auger for gardening....wished I bought years earlier
This drill has saved my arthritic hands so that I can once again put in my garden. I also purchased Power Planter 2" and 3" heavy duty augers that are 24 " in length they come in different lengths. (so that I can stand and 'dig' the holes in my garden for my plants with this drill and the augers I purchased. This drill is very ergonomic for planting. Saved so much wear and tear on my body. Very efficient way to garden. This is the drill recommended on the Power Planter (maker of the augers) website. Perhaps I should have ordered directly from them, it was around the same price and they shipped the auger out the same day!) ... show more
